How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

A couple of bunk-beds instead of six regular beds would allow for a bit more space in the room, but anyhow, a very minor issue ...
The room fulfilled our needs perfectly. It had six beds, easy access for grandmother in wheelchair. Kitchenette fully equipped, specious bathrom, and walking distance to city-centre and tram/bus stops. Helpful and friendly staff, super-clean room and shared spaces. Amazing worth for money.

The beds creaked every time we turned around and as we were 4 people in one room, it was not easy to sleep.
Good location, close to the city center in a beutiful old building. We had to check in after midnight, but it was not a problem.

Beds were a bit short, my partner who is 1.95m was barely fitting. Light in the kitchen would switch off automatically after 30 seconds, so we were eating and waving at the same time :D
Great location, parking available, clean, well equipped kitchen.

One fridge was not working properly.
Excellent location, close to the old town and a shopping center. Free parking in the backyard (go around the block and enter through a small street next to a football field). Comfy and stylish rooms with high ceiling. On our floor there was a kitchen for every 3 rooms. Pretty quiet (we visited on Wednesday).

Had an amazing stay at this hostel! Everything was clean, comfortable, and well-organized. The staff was super friendly, and the atmosphere was great. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a private room with a private bathroom, and it was wonderful! The room was spacious, clean, and had beautiful brick walls with high ceilings. The beds were comfy, and the added TV and shared kitchen were great bonuses. The location was perfect—just a short walk from the city center with a lovely view of the church. The receptionists were kind and welcoming. Totally worth the money, and I would definitely come back!

Everything ws good enough.

Amazing hostel, very good location. Clean and comfy rooms. Very helpful staff, even gave one of spare hair dryers. :) Definitely will stay again and will recommend to my friends.

The towel was not initially in the room, it was provided on the request and it was very tough, not pleasant to use. The internet connection was not stable. I could use it on my laptop, but my phone was consistently disconnecting. Also initially the room was cold as the heating was turned off. I immediately activated it, but it took a night to get to a warm temperature. So I slept under two blankets the first night.
The location is very central. I booked a room for myself with a private bathroom. I looked that it had a desk to use

The lighting in the room is dim.
We had a room for 8 people. It was clean and spacious. The private bathroom is also nice. The beds are comfortable. There's a shared kitchen with everything you need: plates, cups, cutlery, pots, skillets, microwave oven, gas stove, big fridge. The receptionists are kind and helpful.The location is also perfect.

One of the beds was really squeaky.

Bathrooms are small and shower head was mouldy, water flow wasn’t consistent. Pillows were a bit thick and uncomfortable. Squeaky bed.
Good value for money. Seems to be recently refurbished.

Avoid Room207 for a family. It is very noisy during the whole evening and at 2 and 4 am at night, because the noise comes from the neighbor Room206.

It is not clear in the description about the instructions where to park the car. Indeed it’s not at the front of the hotel but at the back. So GPS is better to be adjusted to the back of the hotel because then it’s slightly different route.
The room is beautiful and it’s very close to the centrum. Car park area is spacious.
