How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. There was a cockroach on bed. It seems cleaned at first sight, but finally it is quite dirty below the beds. They probably clean only the visible parts
If so, why didn't you report it to the receptionist? and yet he wanted to stay with us more time than was booked? we don't understand it - besides, the condition of the room you left behind was terrible - both parties are obliged to keep the facility clean

Verified reviewClose to the city centre. Interesting design in the building , good base for photos. Clean towels, hairdryer. Free coffee/tea , kettle
No reception, no luggage storage , check - in at 15:00, check - out at 10:00. No lift - our room was on the 3rd floor , so we had to lift all the 20kg luggage by ourselves. In case something happens to you there is nobody to help in the building from the staff.

the walls were abit thin so you could hear when the other rooms were talking loudly. might here some noise from the streets but overall good :)

There is a big list of cons unfortunately compared the pros. I tried to message the property to clear up a few issues. First of all the property cancelled my booking whilst I was staying there as I asked if it was possible for a later checkout. Im not sure who I spoke to through booking.com and what's app but the man was extremely rude and it was not made clear I could not enter the hostel until 3pm as I spoke to him on the phone and they gave me the key to the safe box to access the property at 2pm. It was not made clear I couldn't enter. Please see detailed review below...... SHOWER ROOM - For reference I stayed in room number 6 its right next to bathroom. Great for me until everyone is using it at all hours and slamming doors. It's nice and clean which is a bonus. One the first night I looked up and above the ladies shower looks like a camera. I have taken pictures to attach to show other travellers so they can make their own mind up. I spoke to another female to see what she thought about it. I thought maybe its a sensor of some kind for the light. However I checked the toliet and there isn't one in there. I then knocked on the males door to check no one was in and checked if they had one above their shower or toliet and they dont. It doesnt appear to be on or have a light on it but I found it strange it was there and only in the females and none in the males. So it cannot be a sensor for the light. I will attach pictures so you can make your own mind up. NOISE- I could hear traffic from outside my window and a little noise but that didnt bother me too much as I had the fan on in the room. The noise is by people in the hostel constantly banging their doors and coming in and out and banging the toliet/ shower door as if you are in no.6 you are right next door to it. The first two nights I stayed the other ladies were very considerate but the last night they left and new girls came and they were so noisy.
Thank you for leaving your review, although we regret to note that some of the information contained therein requires correction.First of all, we inform each guest that the hotel day starts at 3:00 p.m. Despite this, you decided to book the room earlier, without paying an early check-in fee, which significantly limited the possibility of preparing common areas for other guests - for which we also received feedback.A similar situation occurred during check-out - despite the offer of later check-out for a symbolic fee, you decided to stay longer at your own risk, which disturbed the further organization of the day.We also regret to remind you that there were difficulties with payment for your stay - including: no fee for towels, which are an additional service clearly described in the offer. You have chosen accommodation in the very center of the city, at a very competitive price. The description of the offer clearly indicates that due to the location, there may be noises typical of the city center, which should not be a surprise. Other guests also reported uncomfortable situations related to your behavior, which unfortunately affected the atmosphere in the facility. We are always open to constructive opinions, but we also expect mutual respect and compliance with the regulations, which serve to ensure the comfort of all guests

Verified reviewOverall a really nice place, great location, would definitely stay again. Most of the time it was very clean, but one day I think there was somebody who kept on dirtying the bathroom and it wasn't really cleaned until next day - or it was and somebody dirtied it again. I was just going to the other one :)
For me it was ok, but for a light sleeper it might be a problem: you can hear a little the sounds from the hall (other people opening doors and such), and depending on where the window is facing there might be some noise from the road
