The room was a good size and had a comfy bed, a small fridge, and a kettle. I love the location, walking distance to the local shops and public transport. The owners are very friendly and helpful. It was my second time staying there, and I would come back in the future.

The property is a bit run-down, no electric sockets next to the bed made it impossiible to plug in night lights (even though they were there). Very loud water pipes just next to the bed (although not used at night).

There were no towels for cleaning the dishes. There was also no place to hang the towels in the bathroom. The bed matress is a bit worn out.

This didn't bother me personally, but there were strange noises from the shower drain after I had had my shower. Not loud, not annoying to me, but other guests might not like such a thing.

I am not very demanding of my holiday accommodation. Just a good bed, nice warm shower and clean bathroom, plenty of wardrobe space and/or drawers, good WiFi. The usual things. So I was EXTREMELY pleased to see the room I had been given! Maybe I just got lucky, but I had a really BIG room with a very welcoming feel to it after a hard journey by train. Just what I needed! I don't usually take photos of my room, but I did in this one. Maybe they were expecting King Charles, but I think I got the best of the rooms at Willa Ela. I had already checked the location, but it was even BETTER when I got there. Not only was it in walking distance of the Oliwa district and all that I love there, BUT it was in EASY walking distance of "Zielony Targ" (the "Green Market") which has a really great weekend and mid-week flea market. This is one of the things you HAVE TO see when in Gdansk and it was a BIG BONUS that I was near it too as well as Oliwa. And as ANOTHER bonus, I had a kettle and tea-making facilities in the room. It is not something I NEED to have in holiday accommodation, but it was VERY nice to have this here. The room was always very warm when I came back, and as I was there on some pretty cold weather days, this was a very good thing too! And did I mention that Willa Ela is in a VERY quiet, residential area. No tourist noise, only the occasional noise of people passing by and seagulls outside. And I have to also mention that Willa Ela is ONLY 15 minutes easy walk from Gdansk Oliwa train station and SKM.

The room was very dirty. The floor was dusty and dirty. The table was covered with something sticky. Before entering the room, the door handle came off. We also found some kind of insect on the ground, which was initially scary. Luckily, it wasn't a bed bug.

Breakfast is not included but costs an additional 40 zloty (10 euros) per person. We tried it one day and it was okay but not worth the price. Reception is never open which means that when you realize your bedside lamp isn't close to an outlet, the cord just hanging in the air, it takes a day to get an extension cord so you can read before going to sleep. The place was recently renovated but using cheap materials in a slapdash way. Thin walls. Our bathroom stunk. We stayed a week and our room wasn't cleaned, sheets never changed. We had to ask for toilet paper and clean towels. All that said, the people there were sweet.

The location is great, about 20 minutes walk to the beach with lots of green gardens along the way. The owner of the place and her husband and the woman who cleans are all very nice.

There wasn't any breakfast, none at all, even a bad one, nevermind the good one mentioned by other reviewers. I strayed nearer the kitchen and saw a massive box of eggs on the counter, so it wasn't for a lack of supplies. Bit upsetting
