No employee communication and lack of empathy !!

I would of scored this property a 10/10 but we had so many issues with check in and absolutely no communication within the front desk representatives. We were not booked into right room , when I called same day to confirm correct room. When we arrived non were available was told by rep that we would have correct room following day, not the case after I specifically asked rep to relay issue with next shift rep. She was absolutely clueless. However, we were moved and was confronted by Will deeply apologizing as he saw the frustration in our faces 2 couples !! He made our stay very welcoming and was completely genuine and generous to making sure our visit to beach and your hotel was a wonderful experience!! He is the real MVP , because of him we will be returning to your hotel every time we visit!! He definitely needs recognition and a raise!! He represented what we were shown all through out our stay that Puerto Rican culture and people are amazing!!

I feel the rate was over priced for one night and the quality of the room. The bathroom is very small, broken towel rack and only one functioning lamp. Food at bar was not great.

The system was down during a party on the bar restaurant area, so everyone had to leave the premises very early. Also the windows from the rooms to enjoy the ocean view were really hard to open and I asked to the front desk once if they could warm up a meal and the guy said, no. So that was kind of rude because what hotel does not have a microwave in the premises. Also the elevator take forever to come up and down that was faster to walk the stairs.

Though I don't mind a small room the rooms were a bit small for the price I thought. The ocean facing room was right by the staircase which generated a lot of noise. I loved the ocean view, but I will just do a standard room next time, which is cheaper and further away from the staircase. This is also located in an gentrified area FULL of tourists so you won't see the authentic beauty of Puerto Rico here. I would highly recommend to branch out during a stay, but the location of the hotel is in a perfect spot to branch out with Uber.

Amazing, beautiful location right on the beach and close to tourist shops and restaurants. Love that there was free beach chairs included in the stay with towels and free water. Also loved that it had a bar that was facing the water. Staff was super friendly and accommodating as well and made me feel safe being a female solo-traveler. The reception was always staffed and they helped me with late check out without any hesitation. Angel was so sweet and gave me lots of helpful tips ahead of my trip to Culebra. I would stay here again.

Parking is almost impossible, so we had to valet every day. The pillows were not great, they need fluffier or memory foam pillows.

Location is right on the beach and there’s a nice restaurant/bar. I’ve stayed in this hotel before and it was good. However, the room I stayed in this time had the worst bathroom. No fan, no real way for moisture to leave. The shower was incredibly narrow and when you add on a slimy curtain, I had to shower sideways. The photo attached has the shower and assuming the tiles are 12” by 12”, it’s less than 2 feet wide…

this turned into to a party hotel since our last visit 2 years ago. no hot water to shower with. switched rooms once because of this and it warm water barely lasted rinsing out the shampoo from my hair. if you have curly hair don’t even think about conditioning your hair in the shower. you have exit the shower to finish and rinse off later when the water get a bit warm again. pillows flattened instantly my neck still hurts 2 days later. showers are outdated and don’t match the rest of the hotel. wall are thin heard the room across us alarm go off every ten minutes for an hour at 6am. oh and there is currently construction happening next door so being on the beach isn’t very serene. for the money spent I would like to take warm showers and rest easily. NEVER AGAIN

I just wish the hotel room windows could open a little bit so i could have gotten the beach wave sounds and the beach breeze inside the room. Thats all, nothing that bad at the hotel. It was still amazing overall.

The location was great. Easy access to other areas and the bus was nearby. The room was clean and comfortable with a nice view. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay again at this hotel. The hotels beach /bar restaurant was nice with a great view overlooking the beach.

I knew the room was smaller because of the reviews I read. The room always felt damp and humid. I wish the windows were cleaned regularly to see the ocean view better.

The Tryst is in a great location. You can rent scooters and take them all the way to old San Juan. Food at the Wicked Lily was delicious. They have drag brunch on Sundays. Overall great for 3 night stay.
