Nice location being walking distance to the beach. Private walled-in villa with peaceful fountains and amazing hosts. Breakfast was great and we did yoga too. Would definitely stay here again.

Parking was a bit of a challenge.

I cannot say enough positive things about La Botánica Hotel!! It was beautiful, great location, and incredible staff, Victor made amazing vegan breakfast every morning and we attended yoga provided by the hotel as well. La Botánica is such a beautiful tropical hotel located five minutes walking distance to the beach. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

The atmosphere is peaceful and truly feels like an oasis. The breakfast every morning was delightful and unique. The staff was helpful.

I love the intention and design throughout the space. Also feeling like a home away from home. Convenient to shops and food also beach

The hotel has a great vibe, run by people who care about the environment. Plant based breakfast were well thought out and delicious. The beach is a stones throw, Ubers on tap and San Juan just a great place to spend some days.

I really enjoy the botanical feel in warm countries. The plants help to keep the area shaded and cool. The room was very large with plenty of space for 2 people. The breakfast was excellent and a good variety of sweet and savoury throughout our stay.

The sliding door doesn’t really close (no seal). It’s pretty common in tropical countries for air flow, but the downside is bites from mosquitoes.

Leafy oasis away from the busyness and stead

I loved everything about this small boutique hotel - location, interior, breakfast and yoga classes. And hotel staffs are friendly and helpful. Oh, I also love little shop in the hotel - they support local artists and the selections are beautiful.

Only one thing - mosquitos.

Home feeling. The property is a very nice house with great staff, tea, milk and coffee available at all times, daily yoga classes and stunning meat-free breakfast. Unless you are seeking for the heart of the touristy area, or are not into the wellness mood, this is your place to stay!

Although near the beach, it is a bit distant (15 min drive) from the heart of the old city, shops and attractions. But who cares. This place is a peace of mind.

I liked the location and the ambiance of the environment. The food was enjoyable, though I was hoping for more traditional breakfast options such as scrambled tofu, home fries, avocado toast, sweet plantains, coconut yogurt, and granola. I was disappointed that I couldn't rent a chair at the beach. Additionally, I found the pillows in the room to be uncomfortable—as they lacked proper support, which made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. Another concern was that the yoga instructors did not ask for permission before touching or adjusting participants during class. I also didn't fully enjoy the outdoor yoga sessions due to the constant presence of mosquitoes. Overall, I enjoyed my stay.

The morning Vegan breakfast was different everyday- lovely, delicious, served with care, and beautifully presented. The daily AM yoga was amazing- the teachers were incredible. Using insect repellent is a must for the experience. So beautiful on the patio with the breeze, the birds, and al fresco experience. The beach is a block away. Delicious coffee shop nearby. The common areas of the property are so beautiful to lounge in.

There was a hum of club music behind our property- but we still fell asleep with the coci and the beat. If you're a light sleeper, bring ear plugs. But really it's not a deal breaker- I'd stay here again!

Location was great, charming room, nice outdoor shower, I would’ve liked to stay longer. Also, check in and out was simple.

Great decor and cool vibe. Felt very clean and natural. Tasteful and beautiful plants. Calm colors. Very cool design. The rooms were clean and fun. the included beach day amenities were awesome. didn’t get to use the myself because i was there so short time bur next time now i know. the outdoor shower was private and very relaxing. the included breakfast was incredible. compliments to the chef.

I personally didn’t have an issue with the narrow spiral staircase to my room, but someone with big luggage or mobility issues may have issues if your room is a second story room.

The most amazing place with incredible staff. We booked one night and ended up staying for a few more. Great inside and outside facilities. Photos don't do it justice. Yoga and breakfast definitely make this place special along with friendly staff who are always patient and helpful. Separate shout-out to chef Victor and manager Gabriella who made our stay really amazing. Great location two blocks from the beach, car rental not far from it and close by to all the food options.

Mosquitoes in the room. Where they were coming from is a mystery and it was really minor considering all the positives. They also said that they will be addressing this and they don't have that issue in other rooms.
