How serene (hence the name of the establishment) was. You are in your own private rainforest, minus the rain! It is beautiful, quiet with natures sounds and a great location for what we had planned for our trip.

There isn't anything I didn't like. Our only mistake was not staying additional nights here.

Every now and then, you stumble upon a place that quietly imprints itself on your heart, and this place is exactly that! My stay here felt like a deep exhale. The breakfast was delicious, the hospitality was amazing, and the views are beautiful. Make sure to check out their little shop on-site, it has so many goodies. Last but not least, this place is Puerto Rican owned which was very important to us!

The drive up to the houses is a little narrow, but not worrisome!

The sea view suite/casita is a dream! To be surrounded by lush rain forest and look out onto the ocean, falling asleep to the sounds of nature, then to wake to a gourmet, homemade breakfast down at the main house—we only wish we could’ve stayed longer! Such a special place with amazing hosts, Maribel & Pablo.

The Serene House is an absolute gem. Nestled in the hills outside Luquillo, it lives up to its name in every way. Maribel and Pablo are warm, hilarious, and gracious hosts, and Pablo is an amazing cook. My wife and I spent 3 nights in one of the casitas on the hillside above the main house, and Maribel and Pablo's transformation of the property is nothing short of amazing. They are very knowledgable of the local dining and activity options, and didn't steer us wrong with their recommendations of where to eat and what to see and do during our stay. We will be going back!

Situated in a beautiful hilltop location in the rainforest, the Serene House is just that- Serene! Just outside of Laquillo and Farajdo it is an ideal location for seeing El Yunque National Forest. Pablo, the host, gave us a warm welcome and was very gracious and helpful. He provided us with everything we needed during our stay. The breakfast each morning was lovely and the balcony overlooking the pool and forest where we ate was breathtaking. We particularly enjoyed the coffee and fresh fruit that he made topped with passion fruit juice. We would highly recommend the Serene House to anyone who wants to explore El Yunque and surrounding area.
