How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewSpacious apartment with a small kitchen and balcony, comfy beds, and plenty of storage spaces. Delicious meals with a variety of fish and salads. Very nice outdoor area with pools and sunbeds. Staff – exceptionally helpful and kind – they were doing everything to make our stay exceptional. I can definately recomend that place for holidays.

Verified reviewPool was spacious and there were plenty of sunbeds most of the times you had some available. Food was very good plenty of options and good quality. Rooms were very spacious with a separate living room. Beds were very comfortable. Staff was nice. You could walk to oura beach around 15 minutes and there was also a shuttle to the more central Pescadores beach every hour. Also liked the Jacuzzi and indoor pool.

Verified reviewThe check-in process was smooth and the staff at reception were friendly and efficient. We appreciated being able to check in quickly, likely due to fewer guests arriving at that time. The hotel facilities such as the pool and breakfast area looked promising, though we didn’t get a chance to use them.
We booked two rooms for a one-night stay with three kids, and unfortunately both rooms were still dirty at check-in time, including the towels. Considering the price of €1,000 per night, this was unacceptable. The kids’ bed was extremely uncomfortable, as it was an old fold-out with a spring mattress that made it difficult for them to sleep. Checkout was also disorganized, with only one staff member available and a long line that took nearly an hour.

Verified reviewOnly plus point really was that the hotel was clean and location fairly good although still a substantial walk to the sea
The hotel was all inclusive however the selection of drinks was of poor quality and anything decent had to be paid for. The food was average and only available via buffet with the accompanying mass of people all trying of get served and thus consequently eat and drank elsewhere. Booking a suite with 2 beds was a waste as it was just one bedroom with 2 single beds next to each other and sparse sitting area plus kitchen we never used.

Verified reviewRooms with balcony..very good! Buffet meals, good choice but buffet gets broken down too sharp!
Buffet times are sharp! 10 am close, but buffet not restocked from about 930am. So if your a late eater you miss out! Coffee only available in dining room after breakfast! After lunch you have to go to a coffee dock and are nearly always served in paper cups! Likewise with bar service... only one on duty... and plastic cups again.. supposed to be a choice of glass or plastic ? This is an issue with "all inclusive hotels." they is no incentive to serve customers as they already have your money, and the less you consume, the more they profit! Only one complaint about housekeeping staff, a little early service someday, and extra towels like getting gold!! Food and beverages are great value in the area, a 3 course meal for 8, 4 btl wine, 4 beers and comp after dinner port... came in at less than 500euro, tip that was deserved included, not a service charge, 10% we gladly added! Overall, it was a great holiday, and kids staff on site were excellent! and all over the area kids are welcome !

You are mentioning some points and I will try to answer them, being the first the timetables – yes we are strict (because we have to be in order to have it all arranged for the next meal), nevertheless in around 10.15h we always ask our guest in the breakfast room if something more is needed, before retrieving breakfast. Yes, coffee (expresso only from “simbalino” machine) always in the Bar, although we have expresso coffee from the Restaurant machines also. We will be more attentive within the timetables of the cleaning services, although upon your check-in it is mentioned in the information given that you can ask for a different cleaning schedule for your unit. Location was great for restaurant and bars, bar at the end of the road was a great little place for a drink and a snack. Mexican next door was really good, so good we went twice!! 30 min walk to the old town but a nice walk! Close to the strip but not too close.
