The property was absolutely stunning and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We especially enjoyed the picnic breakfast delivered to our patio each morning. Hoping to visit again in the future!

There are no supermarkets nearby. Not a problem, just have to plan in advance.

It was an amazing stay. All the property is like a little castle with an unbelievable view. Very quiet and clean. The ladies who work there are all very helpful and kind. Breakfast is really good, hot and cold choices and fresh orange juice.

Minor issue with our Aircon dripping. Staff had popped a bowl and towel underneath it, but we could still hear the drip at night. It wouldn't stop us staying again. They did try have it fixed while we were there, so they're proactive. The rooms could do with a small fridge - the town largely shuts down from 2:30-7:30pm daily and during that time there's limited options for food. So it would be nice to have somewhere to keep a few snacks. We travelled with a small baby, so it made more of a difference to us than it would to other travellers.

The views are absolutely stunning. Book a room with a terrace / patio and you get to enjoy it 24/7. Our favourite was the breakfast picnic delivery, to be able to sit on the terrace together and leisurely eat breakfast was wonderful. The rooms are authentically decorated, so don't expect super modern finishes but they're comfortable and homely. We had a room that was set in the garden away from the main house and it was perfect for us. Great to be able to order drinks and snacks by the pool, or to your room, also very reasonably priced local produce. They could do with a WhatsApp number to order when you can't find staff, but not essential. As you're on holiday, sit back and relax. Two nice restaurants in town for dinner. About 11- 15 minutes walk.

Our room was right next to the pool so we heard the people there talking pretty loud inside the room, ants were a problem in the room, the toilet itself was too small & too low, no fan in the bathroom for hot air after a shower, no open restaurants around on sundays but their snack bar is open till 7pm

Stunning views of the river and hills. Good selection of breakfast choices. Breakfast was delivered to the terrace outside our room in a picnic basket which was lovely and relaxing! Room was very clean and had everything we needed.

The spectacular views are just incredible!!! So relaxing and the pool was beautiful!! So enjoyed spending the day by the pool !! The breakfast was also an added treat !! So wonderful to eat al fresco surrounded by so much beauty!! Highly recommend!!

The room was a bit damp (we could have used the AC to keep it more dry) and the bed was a bit firm for us... very minor!

Fantastic view over the river,: our porch had a scenic view and was great for the included breakfast, and at dusk! The hosts were both very nice. Highly recommended.

Nothing, it was perfect!

The place, the view, the staff and the environment was just a 10 / 10! The breakfasts were extremely generous and very good. I have a good appetite and the breakfast satisfied me very much. Every morning we had someone bringing our breakfast to our room😀! Not only the breakfast that is good, we happen to order 2 hamburger one night and they were also very good. The bed was very comfortable

The property is in a beautiful location with incredible views of the Douro valley from the balcony of each room. Staff were friendly. The breakfast provided was tailored to us and they adjusted the time as needed. There are restaurants nearby that you can walk or drive to.

This is an outstanding B&B in a stunning location. Probably the best views in the Douro. It’s clean as a whistle and full of old school charm. Lovely people and such good value for money

Nearest dining is a 15 min. walk on narrow road to a village so having a car is much more convenient. Taxis are expensive even if you are going a few miles to the train station. That said, I still rate the stay excellent.

Exceptional view,extremely nice and helpful personal, they even offer to send us back a coat we forgot! Very nice breakfast and everything is in a very unique rustic style without losing any bit of comfort! I would like to come back in summer and enjoy the weather in the amazing pool with river views!
