The terrace is open only from late afternoon, you cannot bring your own drinks and the prices are quite high. Yesterday we were told to leave at 19:30 because there was a large group coming. So it seems the hostel does not have a terrace, there is just a bar on the roof open for everyone. The cafeteria is a bit the same. You are not allowed in if you don't order except when the kitchen is closed.

Get the 4 bed bedroom with private bathroom, it is 3 or 4 euros more and makes all the difference! They are located in one of the main streets of Coimbra, near a lot of restaurants and the street performers

I loved this hostel! I stayed in the room at the top without bunk beds and the bed was easily the most comfortable hostel bed I've ever had. Lots of bathrooms too and Pedro on reception was an absolute legend. He gave us great tips for places to eat which were all within a short distance from the hostel. Would go back in a heartbeat.

The kitchen could do with new utensils and organisation. For example in most hostels the fridges are cleaned out on a regular basis and guest are asked to keep their food in bags and labelled with name and checkout date. This is not the case here.

The stuff was very friendly and brought people together, creating the feeling of a community, not just a shared space. The room and bathroom were clean and of a resonable temperature even without AC. The location can't be better - it's just in the heart of Coimbra's old town.

Fantastic hostel in a great location. Pedro was amazing and really helped with advice for places to see and eat in the city. The beds and pillows in the 10 bed dorm were the comfiest I've had in a hostel. Highly recommended.

No AC under the roof, so it got quite hot at night. Also be prepared for a lot of stairs in and to the hostel. Kitchen could have been a bit better equipped.

A dorm with single beds, what a breeze of fresh air while travelling! Very comfy and clean. 4 toilets, 2 of them with showers for ten people was a perfect ratio. Large lounge room on the ground floor. All the sights and places to eat are in walkable distance.

First of all, the location was perfect. 30 seconds from the main street and 3-5 minutes from the river. It's right in the city center, where you can fully experience the city's spirit. Even a 10-person room was very comfortable. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean. I was very pleased with everything.

It’s not that social and sometimes loud people on the streets at night. Both no problem for me!

Friendly staff contacted me and sent me door codes because of my late arrival, very caring, super clean, nice rooms and bathroom, was alone in my 3 bed room on 2/3 nights, located in centre, everything reachable by foot Will definitely stay again!

It was particularly noisy, as there was a festival in the area the night I stayed. I enjoyed the celebratory sounds, but for those who might be more bothered it could be a little too in the action (Noise may have been a little unusual due to the event). Bathroom bins could do with some work, I think they just need to be bigger to accommodate all the guests.

Great location, in the middle of it all. Staff were very helpful and attentive. The receptionist even took my heavy suitcase upstairs for me. Clean, simple and well set out. Bedroom lockers were helpful.

The hostel is perfectly located for visiting the city center; there's a gelateria, bars, and restaurants just a few meters away. Even though I arrived early, my room was ready and I was able to check in early. The only thing missing is a place to hang laundry, which needs to be cleaned in the shower.

You should not have a problem with climbing stairs if you book a room on a higher floor, but that's obvious!

The bed was very comfortable and there were multiple bathrooms on each floor to choose from should your own be occupied. The place was clean and had a nice living room area and kitchenette that made for some nice social interactions. The location is amazing, close to everything I wanted to see and a half hour walk from the train station.
