It seems to be a good area for those who like go out for a drink in the evening, but the noise from the street was loud, so bring earplugs if you are an early sleeper.

Everything was perfect.

This place was a surprise. The location in the old town is perfect. Some room have a french balcony, mine looked onto the street. Service help was available 24/7. I will return here next time I'm in Lisbon.

The electric switches were very old 1950's and wiring was not chased in and the bath facilities were very old. The guest house is fairly high above the city and has literally hundreds of steep steps if you follow Google maps walking route

It was secure and the glazing and window shutters kept out the late night noise very well. The bed was fairly comfortable and once you got bearing the metro was 8 mins walk away .

Location is perfect. Its close to each attraction in city, very close to Rossio train and metro station. Close to restaurants, Time Out Market and central shops street. Host was super nice person with great sense of humour:) Right in front of the hotel is Police office, so its super safe. Room looked very nice and stylish, the only thing is the noisiness of the street at night on weekend, but it was ok for us.

The toilet showers and sinks are not very comfortable.

The people in the bedroom next to mine were speaking loudly during the night. The man at reception went to tell them that they were too noisy and that they were disturbing the other guests. I liked that, it was very professional from him. You can enter the accommodation at any time with a door code, also in the middle of the night.

To be honest I expected worse and was positively surprised.

Location is perfect. Yes it is in Bairro Alto where the clubs are. Management installed sound proof windows and you can’t hear anything. Excellent job they’ve done! Reception was very polite and helpful! Nights were cool, so keeping windows closed was not a problem. Not sure how it would be when nights are hot and there’s no AC and/or fan. Maybe they have fans upon request. They have 3 bathrooms. I used bigger one with bidet. Water pressure and temperature were perfect.

The bathrooms need renovation and cleaning. The property is located in barrio alto so there is some noise at night but not too uncomfortable in my opinion. Still, I do not recommend it to people with sleep issues

The hostel is located very centrally hence it's very loud during the night. Not good for light sleepers.

I can't walk very well and It is at the top of a hill but we got a taxi from the metro for 6 euros. That is the only thing that would stop me staying there again. The noise wasn't too bad for a Saturday night but it was April. Maybe it is worse in the height of the season.

I was pleasantly surprised. The room was basic but clean and comfortable. The owner and staff were very friendly. The location was lively and a little noisy but we knew that before we booked. Very good value for the money.
