Location fantastic for visiting bom Jesus. Unfortunately bad weather precluded the normal stunning views.

Even though the room had a certain charm, it is clear that some maintenance is necessary, namely the carpets in poor condition and already obsolete and leaks in the ceiling, the bed mattress also needs to be changed, you can already feel the springs in your back and make sleeping uncomfortable.

The hotel couriers were very kind, they gave us a suite with a beautiful view of Braga, the room is very classic and I really liked the colors. The location is perfect, very nice to wake up already at the Sanctuary of Bom Jesus, can visit early without too much tourists.

There was nothing I did not like about the hotel.

Not only it is located in a marvelous place but also the daily rates were totally worth it. The room we stayed had a balcony with a view of the city below and a well tended garden right underneath our room. The breakfast was a good one for the rate.

Being an acient building, some equipments might need a little attention: shower, television (only DTTV, and reception was poor).

The rooms were slightly outdated and could do with modernisation.

Location was great, the view was stunning. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The 12pm checkout was also a plus as it allowed us more time to relax.

This hotel, and the adjacent Hotel Templo, must be the absolute worst hotels in Portugal. We booked a 3 night stay, and the rooms were in such a state of disrepair we ended up moving rooms 4 times in 3 days. After the 2nd move of room, we were offered a room in the Hotel Templo, owned by the same company, and it was just as bad. Both hotels are in a catastrophic state, non working TVs, sinks that do not drain, taps that do not work, and so on and on. We specifically requested a quiet room, the first room was next to the kitchen serving lift, constant loud banging and crashing and people shouting. Both hotels are chronically understaffed, I saw the only receptionist outside having a cigarette whilst victims (guests) queued to check out. It was the worst 3 nights in hotels I have ever experienced (and I have stayed in hotels in 43 countries). I believe I should be refunded in full for this appalling experience.

Absolutely nothing, this hotel should not even be open, it is a disgrace.

A total disaster! The room was extremely cold, the heater was not working. I woke up in the middle of the night, totally freezing. They provided me after 1,5 hours a small heater, which was not really useful. I got sick due to this night and missed important meetings on the next days. The wifi was not working in the rooms even after resetting the routers. The reception promised to solve the problems but never did. The staff and management was not nice and not acting responsible.

hotel rooms dated need redecorating, Do not turn up after 6 pm as impossible to get any food as hotel restaurant is only interested in their booking for the evening and cannot be bothered to do sandwich or snack, Others staying had same problem we were staying for 4 nights. room 204 had mosquitos in room got bitten badly asked in morning for room to be sprayed whilst out not sure if done as that night was even worst with mozzi flying around and biting the pair of us. Complained in the morning to reception and showed them the bites that were visible, under our clothing were even more. bites on return on our last night the nice reception lady asked how our bites were as spoke to her the previous evening and told her she decided to change our stay to another room which was great but still needed some TLC but no mozzi. On checking out asked to see manager the nice man on reception tried him on phone to be told busy at an event to see us. We thought that was not very good customer services plus did not even want to discuss on phone. after 1 hour of the reception man trying to get his boss to see us we left. and will be complaining to booking.com
