Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ChinaWe realized that we were actually sharing one balcony with our neighbors since the same balcony is connected to both rooms and is partitioned with just a large shelf that blocks one room from the other so we were able to hear our neighbors if we leave the balcony door open. I think there should be a more permanent partition to ensure privacy. Our private bathroom had a strong sewage smell and the bathroom ventilation fan needs to be turned on all the time to get rid of some of the smell. There was also quite a bit of mold in the shower area. The fact that the private bathroom was located outside our room meant we had to carry a key to unlock the bathroom door every time we use the bathroom to ensure privacy.
The accommodation is about 200m from the commuter train station which makes sightseeing very efficient because the train goes straight to Sintra as well as downtown Lisbon. There is a convenience store just 30m away and a Lidl Supermarket 1km away. There is also a great place that specializes in roast chicken right across the street and we ended up having roast chicken for dinner two nights in a row. The apartment has a huge common living room/dining room area and a huge kitchen with all the appliances so we were able to make breakfast using the oven. There are also complimentary coffee capsules. The first night we stayed there, we realized that the hairdryer was missing. We then informed the owner who was kind enough to provide one the next day. The responsiveness is much appreciated. The value for money of the apartment is probably unbeatable in Lisbon.

CanadaThe location was not very pleasant but you can know where this hostel is located from looking on maps. We didn’t realize we would be in a private neighbourhood and felt a little unsafe and unwanted there which is fair, but did make us not want to get back to the hostel past dark. The sheets were not clean whatsoever. There were white stains all over them which was unsettling. And the shower has mold.
The room was nice and we had our own balcony. The whole hostel was a really nice space and felt really private being able to lock our bedroom door. It is definitely good if you are looking for a cheap place to stay and really easy to get to sintra from here. The host was really nice and knew English which was really helpful. The balcony had a private table and chairs so you can sit outside from your room.

SerbiaBathroom wasn't perfect clean but it wasn't big problem.
Everything was nice. Talking to Pedro was so easy. Check in and check out also. We got new sheets on our stay, because we were there for 7 days and we are so thankful. Train station is 3 minutes away from the apartment and you need 10-15 minutes to city center. We had a great time!

Bosnia and HerzegovinaNeed clean and new sheets, but for 45€ dont know what to say.
You need to pay for AC, but the room is so cheap so.... It was pretty cold outside during the night and you need AC for heating. It is great value for money, though there was some issue with sheets. Living room is great with all you need for cooking, cleaning.

United KingdomThe fridge could do with a little clean. Apart from that all perfectly clean and easy to find.
Great location, close to train and local family run churrascaria, that serves the true Portuguese piri piri chicken. Stayed in the family room, very comfortable and use of private toilet was good. Only downside would be the fans provided, wasn’t keeping room cool enough, had to go purchase a small one, due to my daughter having nose bleeds ( which she gets if its too hot). Apart from that lovely flat and felt very well at home 😊 Would definitely come back
