Reviews of Musical Hostel

The location is great, right in the center, although Albufeira’s center is quite small. The place was clean, well-equipped, and everything looked modern.

The room was fairly small and uncomfortably cold because of the air conditioning. It was also very noisy, as it’s located next to a bar that plays music late into the night, making it difficult to sleep. The staff was a bit difficult to communicate with, as their English wasn’t very good, but it was manageable. Considering the high price, I wouldn’t stay at this hostel again, it’s not worth it.

The room and bed were really confortable - we had an ajoining terrasse where after using the shared washing mashine you could hang your clothes. The hostel is situated in the center and really close to mutiple bars and great restaurants

There were no keys or locks on the room or the shower - meaning everyone could come in at any given moment - but that could easily be changed so people could feel more at ease

There was always a staff member available, day and night, which made the place feel very safe. I really appreciated how well organized everything was: from the comfortable beds and the personal lockers with locks to the bathrooms and the fully equipped kitchen that had everything we needed. The shower worked perfectly, the jacuzzi was a great bonus, and the location was excellent. I also loved having clean towels provided every time we went to the beach or used the jacuzzi, though the shower towels were not replaced. Another detail I appreciated was the fridge system, where every product had to be labeled with the checkout date and room number, simple but very practical.

The rooms are quite small, even with a small trolley it already felt crowded, so a backpack would be more practical. In the middle of summer, the air conditioning was very strong, and even after asking to lower it, we still felt cold at night. In the showers, there were no locks on the doors, which made me feel uneasy, and the light kept turning off because the sensor was placed in the middle of the room. From inside the shower it wasn’t possible to trigger it, which was frustrating. The room light also worked with a motion sensor, so at night every time someone came in or moved around, the light kept switching on and off. I also found the price for a bed a bit high, though to be fair, the overall structure was well organized. We also noticed some ants in the bed, but it wasn’t a big issue.

No respect of night hours, so a lot of noise by night too

Great hostel, clean, comfortable, Carla was very nice and welcoming, she let me leave my backpack and go to the beach before leaving. All the staff were friendly. Very close to the beach, about 5 min. I felt like home. Thank you.

I really like the staff ang cleanliness

But if you think you can have a rest, forget about it. The name Musical have it's reason, starting from mid-day till 4AM you will got a lot of music in the same time. Sound insulation almost doesn't exist, it's incredible noisy. Also you will definitely have couple of drunk Brits in your room constantly shouting. A tried to sleep with year plugs under really good noise cancelling headphones for 300 euros and I failed. Because bass from nearby clubs will literally shake your bed. Unless you are not drunk brit it's not very best choise to stay. I had to change my ticket from morning to midnight because it's impossible to stay there

One of best hostel I was in Portugal, staff very helpful and friendly, the place is so beautiful looks like a hotel very modern and in the city center of Albufeira and all was very clean I will definitely come back :)

It can be quite noisy as there is loud music coming from the nearby restaurants and bars.

Need more shelf or hooks in the shower room. And no door locks in the shower rooms. Even the share shower room for man and woman. That is weird.
