Intimate property in stunning location with staff that went above and beyond.

Angela and Annabella were very helpful, especially helping us get to/from the train station and acquainted with the area.

Very isolated, which means it's peaceful, but if you are not traveling by car, your train options are limited (tours and activities leave from the next town up)

Beautiful and peaceful setting. Knowledgeable hosts who were happy to explain the history of the Quinta. Impromptu wine tasting over a traditional meal.

Location and view is amazing. The food that was prepared for us was also great and the stuff made you feel at home.

Shower not draining well and a mattress that is one piece instead of two put together would have been better.

The views are just incredible. Our room was great and the staff were exceptional. Angela is the perfect host and by the end of our stay we felt like family. This was one of the best travel experiences we’ve ever had.

Such a beautiful and peaceful environment. Super friendly host and very service minded staff. The grand chilenen of the house asked us several times at the pool if they could get us something (wine, food etc). We loved our stay!

Everything was perfect!

In one of the most beautiful spots in the Douro, with a great view of the river. The terrace at the hotel was awesome, and the view was amazing. Perfect place to enjoy few glasses of wine. Super relaxing and just what we needed after the craziness of Porto.

Bringing my luggage to the room was very difficult since there was no elevator. But it’s an old and beautiful property so I could understand.

Fabulous property. The view on the Douro is stunning. The staff members are very welcoming, helpful and nice. The food was delicious and the rooms were very clean. A special shoutout to Angela who is absolutely fantastic. Everybody wants to make your stay an unforgettable experience. I wholeheartedly recommend this place.

Beautiful small property with the best staff and views. Wines were amazing! We loved the reds.

The beds were not comfortable.I do not suggest using rollaway beds.

Amazing little hidden oasis tucked into the Hills of the Douro Valley. The property is well laid out with lots of little nooks and crannies for people to enjoy privately. The views up, down and across the Douro Valley were spectacular. The pool was a welcome relief at the end of a day of exploring nearby vineyards. We were super appreciative and relied on the information we were provided with upon arrival. From the meals cooked and served to the check in and housekeeping teams we were humbled by the hospitality and caring bestowed upon us so that we could enjoy a top quality experience.

Stunning location and an amazing place to relax. Nothing was too much trouble for Angela and the staff. All the facilities were very high spec and it felt like being home from home. It was much more than a hotel - we felt part of a big family. The food was exceptional and we ate in a light and airy dining area overlooking the river. Wow - like paradise from the moment we arrived ( by train to Ferrão-a station on the Douro line) Angela picked us up and whisked us 5 minutes up the hill. Welcome drinks by the pool and views to dream about!! We’ll be back- shame we only booked one night!

Scenically stunning looking over the river, valley and vineyards. Excellent friendly staff, delicious food, nothing was too much trouble. I could have stayed.

The views, the tranquillity and the pool were great. Angela’s hospitality was above every known standard. She invited us to stay and enjoy the pool till late afternoon on our checkout morning, she served us a try of cheeses and snacks with 2 glasses of wine to the pool area, and she gave my husband as a gift a book he started reading from the house library. The dinner Foni clocked us was amazing.

Angela and her team did everything they could to help us enjoy our stay including help with planning local activities. The breakfast lunch and dinner were excellent as was the wine. One of our group was gluten intolerant and staff went out of their way to ensure that gluten free options were available. Gardens and views are spectacular. Relaxing area by the pool after a busy day. We would highly recommend and will return.
