How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewSpacious apartments, clean, and very nice staff. Ton of pools at the property, so if you are a pool person, it’s fun.
After the transfer you need to walk to get to the beach, so, if you are not into walking but love swimming in the ocean, this can be an issue. There was no room service, so in case you forgot to dine, there is no possibility to order into the room.

Verified reviewThe apartment was spotless and beautifully maintained. The beds were super comfortable and the place was really spacious. The location was perfect — close to everything but still quiet and peaceful. The kitchen had everything we needed, which made meals so easy. The pool were fantastic, and having those facilities on-site really added to the holiday. The staff/host were so welcoming and helpful.
My only small negatives were the value for money, and that my balcony faced the opposite side of the pool. Otherwise, it was an amazing stay

Verified reviewEverything!! Very good facilities both in the suite and outside. Good breakfast. Each swimming pool has different depth. Size of the suite is enormous, we stayed at the 3 bedroom suite with amazing balcony.
It is far from the beach but you have a shuttle train to gale beach. It's far from Albuferia or Lagos. 30-45 minutes each way, but if you only want to visit town at evening time then it's a perfect place to spend the rest of the day.

Verified reviewThe staff was amazing in the reception, gold stars to Rui and Claudia! The cleaning and breakfast team were also really, kind, polite and helpful. The hotel room was amazing. Nice hotel area with many pools with just the right temperature.
The water pressure in the shower was terrible and it was really hard getting the right temperature and having it stay that way. Outside our room there was a lot of birds sitting on a platform in the roof and they scared you many times flying away when you opened the door. Also there was bird droppings on the platform and on the floor together with feathers which was pretty disgusting. I would have liked for them to have a little supermarket or something where you could buy a few things. In the evening everybody left the hotel because there was no entertainment except some live music sometimes. The pools closed very early, at 19 in the evening. They only had one restaurant and one cafe and it was pretty expensive. Buffe during the evening was super expensive, 39€ per person and it wasn’t that much options in the food. At breakfast the pancakes and waffles didn’t taste much, only thing I could taste was a lot of sugar. The waffles tasted more like sponge cake. The bread had hard and crusty bread crusts and the orange juice tasted nothing.

Verified reviewVery spacious rooms, huge balconies, very comfortable bathrooms. The two-bathroom residence has two bathrooms, very comfortable beds, very clean rooms, even the outdoor showers are very clean. Newly renovated hotel, 10 swimming pools, very helpful staff, good fish restaurants very close to the hotel, a lovely shuttle to the beach. Everything you need is there, including a nice musician at the pool bar playing Bossa Nova music.
Long lines at breakfast. Some staff tried very hard to serve us quickly, others were very slow. The food was excellent, but sometimes I didn't feel like standing in line in the heat because there weren't enough staff and two or three hard working people couldn't manage to refill the empty plates with new food, because it is impossible with such ammount of people. The tables outside were full, and there weren't enough tables for everyone. We started breakfast at 9:30 a.m., but things were probably better at 7:00 a.m.

We were in an apartment os two bedrooms and we were 5 people, and had only one bottle of water, which is a bit odd. We had to ask for more everyday and it took long hours to be delivered. Eg: we asked in the morning before leaving the hotel and when we came back in the afternoon we had to request it again.
