Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaNothing, I regret not being able to stay longer.
The place is as majestic as it looks in pictures. We reserved the room with a private pool. From the decoration to the comfort, it exceeded expectations. You want to relax and go for a walk, a ride in a bike, see the animals on the farm, swim in the pool, enjoy the indoor spa (heated pool, sauna, sunroom, showers), or just pet the friendly dog... this is the place. If I could give it a 20/20 for cleanness, I would. This place is spotless clean!!!☆☆☆☆☆. The homemade food is amazing. You get the whole package. Loved it and great for families!!! Secluded and amazing.

PortugalThe spa pool needs some maintenance.
we were looking for a quiet relaxed atmosphere to just re energise, this was it, although only for a night we found the whole experience just what we needed. The evening meal was very simple but delicious, the breakfast was excellent.

PortugalThe price of food/drinks and the price of accommodation are a bit expensive, even considering it is high season.
Staff is usually very friendly. The location is great, far from everything, which gives us the relax and quiet that we were looking for. Food is very good and the Aletejo's flavors are amazing. It's a very good option to relax and enjoy the countryside.

PortugalThe rooms were a little humid and the AC could be better, but overall, very nice place. White lights in a room, even in the rest room, are today a big no-no, as there are already yellow low consumption lights.

Portugal- Access road is tricky for non-all road/SUV cars; with the rain, it was hard to pass in some parts of the road without scratching the car below - Cleaning can be improved: carpet and bedside had some stains; bathroom gets smelly due to the humidity - Hot water flow is not very constant and finish relatively fast so for 2 person bath in a row can be quite challenging
- Staff friendly and helpful - Spacious and comfortable room - Farm animals near-by where we can interact with sheeps, donkeys (quite cute and friendly), goats and cows. Also can be found a very friendly dog (Becas) and a cat - Nice place to park the car - Nice living room well decorated with tea available and sometimes cake or cookies - Dinner at the place was quite good and tasty but IMO slightly expensive - Breakfast was also good but I think should bet more on local products instead of commercial products; IMO English breakfast (bacon and eggs) wasn't needed - External pool was not available at this time of the year and we didn't tried the SPA so no feedback for these facilities

PortugalThe room was a little small missing, for example, a chair to place the big pillows and clothes or luggage. Access to the SPA could be improved as it is necessary to cross a small path of pebbles that are not comfortable to walk in slippers, especially when leaving the SPA. There are some doubts whether, in high season, it is possible to ensure the same tranquility we had during our stay...
PRELIMINARY REMARK: the hotel was occupied by only three guests during our stay. Breakfast was very good, with a wide variety of products: different types of bread, cheeses, a wide variety of fresh fruits (pineapple, papaya, mango, kiwi), homemade jam, natural orange juice. A healthy corner is also available. Missing, perhaps, gluten-free food. The bed was comfortable, although the room is a bit small. The living room with a burning fireplace and an area for making tea and biscuits created a very cozy atmosphere! The staff was friendly and attentive. Free bikes were available to ride. The SPA was working (swimming pool, sauna and Turkish bath) although the seat jets were not working.

United States of AmericaIt is a little remote but within east driving distance from many of the well known wineries.
Spent a little time in the Beja wine region and chanced upon this location. The service is absolutely stellar. When something happens, the staff absolutely goes above and beyond their calling make it 200% better. Tip: I would recommend getting the upstairs room (the only one I believe) as it makes the experience a completely different one which has a 360 degree view and a private patio compared to the normal rooms on the ground floor. Thank you very much.

PortugalThe private pool in the suite could of done with a bit of a clean and a kettle in the room would of been great!
I booked a suite for my parents 49th wedding anniversary and the staff at the hotel when above and beyond to make it special for them. They could check in early, there were candles all over the suite, roses on the bed and when they had dinner a special cake was bought out for them with candles saying '49'. It made it very special for them as it was the first time they had left the house since covid began. So happy with the effort by the extremely friendly staff that we have decided we may visit ourselves soon in the near future!

United KingdomThe actual spa the pool , and sauna, the showers were the only facilities we used an not one of them worked properly the showers were cold and told they don’t go hot! The pool just didn’t work. The sauna was out on so we could go in after our massage it was cold the guy came to fix it but took far too long to warm up and by then we had had enough . There should be instructions in the room on how to use the TV remote and an info file on the place, the surrounding towns useful facilities such as supermarkets , hospital , parks, museums etc
The property is isolated in the middle of nowhere which is greaT the views around the property when the weather was good was breathtaking. Breakfast was great and the staff were fantastic. The massages we had were superb.the town of Cuba fabulous and some amazing restaurants but only if you are a meat eater! You are in the heart of meat eating Portugal pig, lamb or beef . No menus in English and you will find it hard to find someone who does.

CanadaNot enough shade around the pool, it was unbearable with 42 degrees. They had beach chairs around the pool that no one used because there were no umbrellas. Other guests have made the same comment but the hotel has not adressed the issue. The shower handle was the cheapest I have ever seen and no door, when you had a shower water went everywere. This would be a very inexepensive thing to fix.
we liked the feeling of the hotel

PortugalMany things, the management appear to have lost their way. No Internet in room only available in Lounge. No information nor map regarding facilities. No menu, fixed dinner regardless of allergies etc. Main course consisted on two nights of chopped pork ribs devoid of meat. Another night chopped pieces of chicken with splintered bone left in. The restaurant shown on the web site does not correlate with the advertised picture on the web site. No tablecloths etc. The walkway to the restaurant was littered with cushions, sun beds etc. On arrival despite having been contacted that morning to ask what time we would arrive there was no meet and greet. Our booked room was up two flights of stone stairs with no handrails. My wife had two metal knees and found it impossible to climb the stairs. We were allocated another room with plunge pool which was dirty. The main swimming pool was also contaminated and required remedial building work due to broken concrete at one corner of the pool. A yellow warning board was placed there but really required being cordoned off. The manager when informed said it was only a little dirty!!! A reported faulty light in the room was not fixed. Regarding Spa facilities Sauna inoperative and water pump feeding Spa pool very noisy due to suspected worn bearings. We only found the Spa on our last day due to lack of information.
Not much, Breakfast and female staff excellent and helpful. Room and complex clean.
