Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

HungaryIts a bit strange concept that there is no door between the bedroom and the bathroom and toilet spaces. There is no reception on site and it took me a while to find the caretaker on site who could show me the rooms. Check in information could have been clearer.
Amazing location in Sintra, very central yet quiet and intimate, nice terrace surrounded by trees. Very comfortable beds.

UkraineThe territory needs a bit of love and care. Fountains don't work, some plants look sad, restaurant doesn't work. The rooms on the 1st floor and in the garden are quite dark and smell damp. Showers are quite moldy in all the rooms i saw. No service at all. They sent a random guy to check us in and he gave me his whatsapp number, that's it.
It's a new pretty hotel with a good location near Palacio Nacional and lots of cafes. The design is great! The whole territory is a garden with great viewpoints to drink wine in the evening. The rooms were very clean (but better on the 2nd floor, when checking in ask to show you all available rooms and choose the best, i highly recommend rooms 1 and 3).

PortugalThe outside door to our room was too light, seemed like the door you'd find to a room inside a house. Given the property patio and the fact that each room was directly accessible to it, if someone wanted to get in, it wouldn't be hard. A heavier door, with a more secure lock door would ease my mind - it would even soundproof the room better. Even though the location is very tranquil and calm, precautions are always favoured.
The aesthetics of the patio and the room, the complementary coffee/tea/water and the SmartTV stood out to me. Do ask for the alternative WiFi if the 1st one doesn't work, as our room was in the lower level and the cell reception there was faulty. Nonetheless, very inviting room and the morning after couldn't be better: Gorgeous views and good outside seating/furniture.

PortugalSince we stayed here in the winter, it would be perfect if they improve their heater.
The staff is amazing, we were late for the check-in and she patiently waited for us. Another good thing is the room, what you see in the pictures are just the same as the room. Great facilities. Recommended for people who would like to escape the noise from the city, it is a good place to relax and unwind. Sintra will really give you the vibe of calmness. Their balcony is also a good spot for coffee in the afternoon.

FinlandRoom was pretty humid and chilly even though the weather was good. Very open concept in the room, no door between bathroom and rest of the room, not sure if I would enjoy being there if travelling with company. Little finishing details missing still in the rooms as it’s a brand new property
Very beautiful property and lot of privacy in the room I stayed. Room decor very beautiful, the bed was comfortable

CanadaHard to judge given we were there for 1 night. But rooms would benefit from a dehumidifier if possible, it felt damp but that wouldn’t deter us from staying again.
We had a lovely stay. It was close to sights we wanted to see, and was a fairly quiet property. Host was lovely, and easy to communicate with throughout our stay.

CanadaIt was difficult to enter the private street because the parking gate QR code was not provided in advance. Driving to the hotel involves steep hills and sharp turns. The hotel room was a half basement unit which wasn't clear from the photos, and so it was a bit damp even in the middle of August. I would recommend bringing your own pillows because the ones in the room were uncomfortable. The room was not soundproof because you could hear everything through the door, in the hallway, even when other guests were having a louder discussion from a parallel unit. Finally, there is no ventilation in the bathroom. Some of the units have a window but there isn't a fan or exhaust.
The location is great, it's next to the Sintra castle and you can even see the Moorish castle in the distance. It was easy to find parking. The hotel itself is quite nice in terms of common areas and it's in a quiet neighborhood.

VietnamThis is located in a street where cars can not easily access so it’s a little complicated with taxis but once you study the map a bit, it’s easy to find spots where you can arrange pickup.
This is a very new property, so everything is fresh and in good state. The room was very spacious and comfortable and the whole villa is done in an Arabic-style that -although a little fake- is good looking, relaxing and a little exotic. The rooms are very well equipped and well thought-of. There is no reception per se, but the only staff we interacted with in person was very friendly, warm and welcoming. Management sent us plenty messages through Booking and we felt well taken care of. I would highly recommend this place and I would have loved to stay longer and enjoyed the tables in the courtyard.
