Great location, bar, large balconies and a nice pool-quiet

The decor needs updating

This was an absolute gem! After a stressful year we needed a peaceful and soothing place. Solgarve did not disappoint. It is located in a quiet & peaceful area but only a 10 minutes walk away from the beachfront with the promenade, restaurants, bars and shops. The apartments were very clean & had everything we needed. We loved the spacious South facing balconies overlooking the pool area. The pool was lovely & warm & at no time was it ever too busy for me to swim laps up & down, and there were always enough sunbeds for anyone who wanted them. There is a small bar area where you can chill with a few beers & enjoy chats with Miguel or other guests. However what really made it so special was Miguel and his staff. We cannot praise them enough. From the minute we booked, Miguel set out to make it a pleasant and relaxed break for us, organising airport pick ups /drop off, and anything else we needed. We arrived at night, more than 2 hours late due to our plane breaking down. Miguel re-organised our airport pick up, and waited for us. He provided us with any information we might need and was so welcoming despite the late hour. Throughout our stay he made a point of connecting with everyone, chatting & telling us local stories & news and more. He is fluent in 4 languages making it easier for those of us with no Portuguese! We also want to give Edmundo & Diego, our taxi drivers, a shout out. Edmundo did the airport trips and was in touch with us even before we took off, with information about the current strike by handling crew and didn't seem to mind having to reschedule last minute, for our late arrival. He gave us lots of information on the area and was extremely pleasant & helpful. Diego was similarly kind & helpful. We would like to thank Miguel & his team, for providing us with such a great experience.

Having to leave it!

Great location. Fantastic pool with plenty of loungers. Room was very good with large double bed. Excellent hotel for a quiet relaxing family holiday. Miguel, Samuel and the staff very friendly and helpful. Parking very accessible.

Sofa bed was too soft and not able to use so 3 of us had to sleep on 2 single beds pushed together No restaurants in area

Very clean and accommodating, Miguel is a great host. It’s a dated property but they are investing into each apartment. Pool excellent, apartments spacious, secure parking. It does have aircon in the bedroom but not in the main lounge if you are using the sofa bed. We used as an overnight stay, close to Quateira promenade. Would come again for the price.

Ideally aircon throughout would be needed for a longer stay.

Pool was nice, lots of sunbeds to use and umbrellas when hot. About 15mins walk to beach/supermarkets. Easily accessible for uber/taxi/bolt. Free bus to Vilamoura every hr about 5 mins walk away. Miguel is super helpful and friendly. Easy check in and check out.

Uncomfortable roll out bed. Freezer in fridge did not close properly. Would have like larger glasses for water/drinks.

The place is really nice, especially for families with children, the rooms are spacious, the living room is very bright, a fully equipped kitchen, a terrace overlooking the pool that makes eating there pleasant, the bathroom has good water pressure which although you may not believe it is essential when showering, there are two pools, one for small children and another larger one, the depth is very good 1.70 mt. The deeper area makes children feel safer swimming as well as parents, and the most important thing is the attention of the manager Miguel, a super friendly person and attentive to help you in everything, we really would repeat our stay there. Another thing is there is a supermarket about 400 meters from there and down that same street you can reach the beach, it is very close and you can walk ..

May be they will need a restaurant there to be a completo hotel.

The staff couldn’t do enough for us all, so friendly and kind. Pool was clean and safe. Nice to spend time around and the on site shop was handy for cold drinks and ice cream.

Miguel was super helpful and quick to respond. It was very basic but had everything you need. The pool area is amazing. And it is in a great location. You can walk to a grocery store or the beach. Loved that.

A washing machine would have been very useful. The pull out couch was very noisey, it squeaked and not good if you are a light sleeper.

The staff here are excellent, very welcoming and friendly. They even offered to arrange transfers to and from the airport. Approximately 15 minute stroll into strip and beach. Nearby shops, restaurants. The accommodation is great for families - 2 pools and everything we needed in our apartment. Bar available and bbqs on site. No restaurant but we were happy to eat out or bring in shopping from local shops.

Miguel is a wonderful host, welcoming, efficient and so very helpful and informative. The room is clean and comfortable. Everything is in walking distance, you can walk the length of the beach to the Marina. There is also a free bus and Uber is inexpensive. The pool gets sunshine all day long.

The room is basic. Personally I would have preferred more privacy on the balcony.

The hotel was great! We were welcomed and checked in early. Everything was clean – rooms, corridors, and pools. Perfect for kids, with space to play and swim. There’s a small bar by the pool for drinks and ice cream. Bolt to the beach or fish market costs 3–4 euros, and free city buses are available. The room had all we needed: fridge, freezer, cooking stuff, dishes, wine glasses, and a coffee machine.

No towels for swimming pool but we were offered a clean old hotel towels.

The apartment could do with a bit of an upgrade overall. But this was good value for money and the accommodation was priced well for what we got for our money.

We loved our stay at Solgarve! It was the perfect base to relax and explore the Algarve. - The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They arranged a rental car for us at a competitive price (same as Booking.com) but with more flexibility around drop-off times and location - plus we were supporting a Portuguese business. Best of all, the car was delivered directly to the property. - Free parking on-site was a huge bonus. - The pool was fantastic and there were enough sun beds and umbrellas for everyone staying at the property. - It had a very relaxed, safe, family-friendly feeling. - Convenient location within walking distance to a grocery store and the beach. We also walked to the promenade, but there’s a free bus available too. - The room was very clean and the beds were made daily. The shower had great water pressure and plenty of hot water. - The bedroom had air conditioning but we just slept with the windows open as there was a strong breeze that kept us cool. - Although checkout was at noon, we didn't need to leave for the airport until the evening and were welcome to enjoy the facilities all day. We were able to leave our luggage in reception so could spend the afternoon swimming before our flight.

- We had a car so were able to do day trips and explore the Algarve but without a car, you may feel a bit limited. However, there is public transport nearby and Ubers are very cheap so it shouldn't be a deterrent for staying here. We loved this location and felt very safe and relaxed throughout our visit

the outside lights shine bright into the bedroom so blackout curtains are needed for a good sleep & the road noise can be heard.
