It matched our expectations, and the staff were very helpful. Communication with our hosts was ideal. The info pack really useful, and having the tourist information and Cheesy Sheep on the doorstep was great.

The key code mechanism to enter the property was a bit temperamental.

The property was spacious and well maintained. Friendly staff and willing to assist with transportation and advise on restaurants and other activities.

The location was excellent however we found that the there was a need to use taxis to arrive at the location due to steep slopes to the top of the castle area.

Very comfortable and spacious given its location. Lots of restaurants close by and a fun place to staying being inside the castle walls. Easy to access with the key pad.

I stayed there for a few nights with my daughter. The facility is in a very nice area of the city, just by a beautiful castle. It has a small kitchen with fridge (great!) and working AC (important!). Two single beds, small but functional bathroom. Apartment was clean.

Be aware Uber can't go into the area. Official taxis can. Staircase is narrow and steep. Both didn't bother us, but may be an issue for others.

The location was wonderful and really added to our enjoyment of our visit to Lisbon. Prior to our visit, the staff kept us informed about the progress of our booking, answered questions promptly, offered advice and organised a pick up for us from Lisbon airport. During our stay we were contacted with other offers of help. We could not have asked for better hosts.

We had a great stay at this apartment! The location is excellent for exploring the city – just a short walk to the castle, the city centre, and several miradouros. Communication with the hosts was smooth. The kitchen is quite small, but it had everything we needed. Peaceful atmosphere – even with the window open, there was no city noise, just the sound of birds.

One should have in mind that the apartment is on the hill, and the street is not accessible by car, so if you're traveling with heavy luggage, it might be a bit challenging.

Airconditioner kept tripping circuit breaker all night. I had to reset it 4 times.

This was a very clean and very well-organized hotel just next to the castle entrance. The lady in charge was also super helpful and kind. The surrounding streets are narrow cobblestone streets with lots of good dining options.

The only issue can be the steep streets and the many stairs around.

Everything, the location was amazing, the roof top terrace and pool were fabulous and the staff friendly and efficient.

The location within the Castelo. The modern features of the unit. The cleanliness of the place. The responsiveness and attentiveness of our host.

The air conditioning kept turning itself off. No screens on the windows. The living space was somewhat cramped for three people with luggage.

It was a great location, and the hosts provided great tips and places to eat, things to do. My girlfriend also said she thought it was very clean.

The beds were a bit on the tough side so I couldn’t get a great sleep, and I had asked for a mattress topper but they were all in use. Also the air conditioning was giving trouble to last 2 nights as it wouldn’t stay on and was making a rumbling noise, wasn’t as cool as before. Also the hot water tank is a bit small so if you don’t shower quick it may get cold on you.

The apartment was beautiful and clean. The bed was comfortable and view of the water was an added bonus. Suggest…if you’re coming with luggage or backpacks from airport or train station, take a bus (737) or taxi. Save the energy for walking up the hills for the sightseeing portion of your trip.

We chose to get a taxi from the airport via the host as we were arriving in the evening and wanted an easy transfer. Highly recommend this option at any time of day as finding the property might have been difficult without our taxi driver who very kindly showed us right to the door. Apartment was really quiet at night and very comfy so slept well. Liked having a fridge so we could keep drinks and fruit.. Liked the keypad entrance as saved carrying a key. Really appreciated the breakfast and dinner recommendations, used both breakfast recommendations and would highly recommend. Loved stepping out of the door and being near the castle. Anywhere in Lisbon will involve either walking up or down hills so being at the top of the hill was irrelevant and we were so near bus stop, tram stop, tourist bus stop, restaurants and excellent views over the city.

Perfect stay in a perfect apartment in a perfect location so nothing not to like!

It’s so clean and tidy!

Was clean and neat. Had a reasonable sized room and mini kitchen. Double glazing, shutters and air conditioning make it very comfortable and quiet. We enjoyed the location very quiet at night. Modern facilities in an older part of the town.

If you want to walk down to the Port its a long way down however everywhere is hilly in Lisbon.
