Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaNothing. It was great.
We had an excellent stay at the Spot. Sandra, the owner was very friendly and accommodating. The house was spotless and beds were comfortable. We loved being able to use the pool after a long, warm day on the Camino. We purchased the breakfast for €6 and it was very good. Would definitely stay here again.

ItalyYou open the door and find yourself in a small oasis, beautifully decorated common living room with kitchen, and incredible garden with pool. We were walking the Camino and we couldn't have found a better place to spend the second half of our day. The host is great

United StatesThis is NOT a complaint, just an observation.....I hope Spot is savvy enough to recognize what a wonderful employee he has in Sandra, and awards her a large bonus payment at the end of the season, just saying!!
The Spot Ofir is named after the CEO and canine, Spot. I have walked several different paths on the Camino do Santiago, and this is the first time I got a stamp on my pilgrim credential from a dog. Like any good CEO Spot has delegated the day to day responsibilities to the very competent Sandra, who speaks Portuguese, English and French.....she may speak other languages (Spanish?) but didn't do so while I was there. Having Sandra deal with the daily routine chores, frees Spot's for important tasks including greeting guests, boosting morale, sleeping and dreaming about chasing rabbits. Sandra lives about 200 meters away, so when I ran the door bell at 2:00 hoping to drop off my bag and go for lunch, her phone rang at her home and she headed straight over to check me in. The house used to belong to Sandra's grandparents but about five years ago she converted it to a guest house/albergue. The place is super clean, comfortable and looks just like the photographs. A washing machine and dryer are available for Euros 3 each, but there is also a sink with soap in the laundry room to use for hand washing and ranks to hang the clean clothes on. I was in a room of four people in two sets of bunks. Clean sheets, a quilt and towel are included in the price. For an extra Euros 6 you can purchase breakfast, which is available from 7:30. It has typical continental fare and saves time figuring out an alternative.

SpainNothing to dislike. Good b&b to stay for a few days. Able to find parking in street nearby.
We had stayed before so knew what to expect. That's why we returned. Sandra is the best always available for a chat and advice. Plenty of good cafes and restaurants within walking distance. The garden and pool were very welcome as weather hot.

The space is a thoughtfully designed common space for the extended family of pilgrims, not the down and dirty albergue feeling, but clean, safe, and friendly.

United StatesOnly a couple small things. Stayed in 4 person dorm on main floor. Bathroom just outside. Automatic light would come on when I opened dorm door & light would flood sleepers. Plastic covers on mattresses. I understand why they are use and value bed bug protection. But sleeping when it’s so hot out — even at night — is hotter.
Close to great restaurants recommend by host.

It had a lovely energy. It was very clean and spacious with inspirational statements on the wall. The hostess, Sandra, is a really lovely woman who is incredibly helpful and extraordinarily pleasant. She clearly enjoys being a Camino host and is so knowledgeable , patient and accommodating. We had a minor crisis and she responded with cheerful pragmatism, and solved the problem instantly. What a fantastic host! We cannot recommend this hostel and host highly enough!

United StatesThis was our first pool stay along the Camino, and boy did it spoil us looking for the rest of our accommodations! It was heaven after a long day walking the Coastal route. We stayed in a 2-twin private room with a shared bathroom. It was a clean, quiet and comfy stay. We were also able to use Sandra’s wash & dry laundry service which only took a couple hours and was a little luxury well-worth the price. We had the breakfast the next morning and chatted with Sandra about how the place came to be before we packed up, did a little yoga on the patio and went along onto the Camino. Overall, a very lovely stay! Visit Martins Dos Frangos for dinner if you stay here—our server and food were both excellent!
