Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

South Africaon check in i had to call reception to bring towels for bath, hand, and shower floor. disappointed that all was not in place on arrival as my booking was for 2 adults and only set room up for 1 adult - from a positive point this was resolved immediately.
the breakfast was acceptable. after being in Doha i realised that i would have preferred the NEW Doha area. most of our interest was in the new Doha area therefore the above. The concierge was extremely helpful and a huge thank you to him.

CyprusThe bin in the toilet smelled a lot like tobacco smoke, and the smell filled the room every time we opened the bin. We visited the hotel during summer which resulted to some problems, not necessarily caused by the hotel. It was humid, even inside the rooms, and there was no cold water for shower.
The location is central and convenient. The staff is polite and helpful. The design is beautiful. The breakfast is served at the hotel’s terrace with nice view. There’s also another restaurant at the terrace which one can visit at night for food or drinks. We had a problem with the bathroom sink which was addressed right away.

New ZealandEnvironmentally water filter to refill water bottles instead of plastic but this is an uphill battle and a real shame in most hotels.
Very tidy bedrooms and extremely good value for money.Rooms are simple but clean, wifi is good.We booked for transit stay and due to the quiet room and nice dark curtains had a really good sleep. The manager was extremely accomodating lending us his adapter which made a world of difference !The hotel was also great adjusting our check in and check out again absolutely fabulous . The security staff downstairs was an absolute stand out helping us with directions, ordering the right taxi suggesting places to eat etc .I felt a bit overwhelmed with the heat the different culture and a proper jet lag but his helpfulness made the world of difference! We found it such great value for money that we also stayed there on the way back, we didn't feel the need to pay more elsewhere.

QatarThere’s dust sitting in the windows, there’s no carpet on the flooring, no bin in the living room toilet. The pool is really small like only 3 strokes when you swim, only 4 feet deep, very cold no thermoregulation. The shower area is too small too.
They decorated the room for free for my daughter’s birthday with balloon plus a small cake. Thank you so much Jonisha, Melissa and Sunkar. It’s close to the Souq, Msheireb, Corniche, overlooking the skyline. We walked to the Souq and Msheireb. Perfect for tourists. Close to popular landmarks and also the Gold Souq. The overlooking restaurant in the penthouse. The beautiful decor and the view of the interiors as you go up and down the elevator. The view in the morning and night. We left our windows open all the time, the best view of Doha with the Souq Helix building of the Islamic Cultural Center.

QatarOne arabic speaking female front desk agent wasn't helpful and clearly not guest focused. My daughter and I returned to the hotel after over a week's stay to inquire about the items that we've forgotten. I was giving her the details about the lost and found; I wasn't even finished speaking when she cut me off saying, "ask the bellboy" - after insisting on my inquiry and showing her a WhatsApp message from the hotel's business line confirming that they found the items, she coldly called housekeeping to assist me. Thanks to the housekeeping gentleman though!
The hotel smells fresh from the entrance itself which obviously extends to the room's overall cleanliness. Greeted by a welcoming male front desk agent and pro-active bellman when we checked-in. One engineering technician was so helpful (unfortunately I could not recall his name). He helped me retrieve my ATM card that fell down the lift's shaft when I pulled my room key card from my wallet. Nice view from the room and even from the restaurant where breakfast is being served. Pleasant stay overall.

AustraliaI asked if I could change money in the hotel , was told yes but I transpired the rate was about half the official rate . I got my money back no problems . I should have been aware of the correct rate which was stupid of me but in a setting where trust is paramount it didn’t help . Also whilst the food in the restaurants was generally very good we had one meal that was awful and that was in the same cafe /restaurant where I had had the best cappuccino I had had in years ( confusing inconsistency ) l noticed the owner wasn’t present that day .
We wanted a hotel to rest up in ,in between long haul flights and for that purpose it served very well . It was inexpensive clean and tidy . The staff were friendly and helpful . The food in the hotels restaurant was good most of the time .
