Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

QatarI didn't like on how the Receptionist on duty during this time of 5 oclock in the afternoon onwards (this Indian lady) treats my Boyfriend when he arrives. I instructed my Boyfriend to just come to Reception and present his id and tell that I had checked-in already and mentioned the room # I occupied. But the Receptionist Indian Lady responded him that HE CANNOT LET IN AND VISITOR IS NOT ALLOWED DURING THAT TIME, wherein my Boyfriend called me with an upset voice right away and tell all what he's been facing in the Reception. 😔 To the Indian Lady Receptionist( I think her name is Ms.Champa or whatever), we have the same job description wherein it's our job to call the guest who occupied the room to confirm if the person who arrived is really the Guest expected visitor. Not the guest to call the reception and confirm! Not just that.... During my check-out at night of Nov9 around 10oclock onwards maybe... The same Receptionist on duty. 🙄 I ask her assistance to let me connect to wifi in a very nice and polite way, wherein she did. But the thing is, my mobile couldn't connect easily and ask her several times more and just told me "THAT'S THE ONLY WIFI YOU CAN CONNECT with (wherein I do really understand that, but I am checking on her patience already on how she can help me, but instead!)" She left the reception counter after settled my papers and went inside the office leaving me hanging that she knows that I did asked her to this Wifi assistance. 🤷🤦 Thankfully, there is one Guy Staff there(Im sorry I forgot his name) and patiently helps me to get connected to your wifi. Kudos to this Guy with his patience he puts on me. 👍 I don't know what you've been facing or thinking during this time for you not to attend much to your Guest concern.🤷 But in our job, we need to always have A LOOOOOOONG PATIENCEEEEEEEEEEEEEE to bring at work everyday to do our responsibility. 👍💜😇 So, all the best to you Dear! 😇

United KingdomThe staff were not welcoming and they demanded security deposits from my Indian colleagues...but not from my British one. There was a strong smell of bad drains the room and the staff were disinterested in doing anything about it. The pool is green and you can not swim in it.
This hotel is not 4 star and does not deserve to be represented by the Discover Qatar portal. Dated and below standard.

GermanyThe spa area was only for men, I found it really discriminating! Renewing some of the amenities could improve the general look. The window was locked, I had to use my screwdriver to open it for some fresh air.
I was a bit scared prior to checking in having read the reviews, but it wasn't as bad as expected. Seems like some people feel too uneasy about even a carpet's square centimeter's imperfection. Sure, it's not a state-of-the-art 5-star hotel, but it has a certain old charm and offers good quality for the price. I made sure to ask for a smoke-free room and they even let me check in three hours early at no extra cost. The location is very convenient too!

Saudi ArabiaDear Management, I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the humiliating treatment we experienced during our stay at Grand Regal Hotel on 9th December 2025. As we were checking out, staff insisted on searching our belongings for missing towels. We stood there in shock as they rummaged through our personal items, staring at us as though we were thieves. The entire situation was degrading and offensive, and it left us feeling humiliated. As I explained to them repeatedly during the incident, the towels were not with us, and indeed, they did not find them in our belongings. Despite this, the harm was already done, and the experience was both unnecessary and deeply disrespectful. We had previously considered staying at your hotel more often, but after this appalling experience, we will never return. Coming from outside Qatar, we expected a warm and professional reception—not this level of mistrust and public embarrassment. Such behavior is completely unacceptable and unworthy of a hotel of your reputation. I hope you take this matter seriously and ensure no other guest has to endure such mistreatment in the future.
