Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

South AfricaCould not finish the breakfast taken , hence wanted to take it to the room to eat it later, I was told I cannot take it. My question to the management, what do you do with the food in the plate that I could not take, Do you throw it away as no one is going to eat it or rather let the guest take it to the room and eat it later. Remember you can't waste food. The spread at Breakfast was very poor for a 4 star hotel. The guest have continuosly to ask for refills, and with while the food was brought from the kitchen rather than the staff refill the food during breakfast.
The reception staff was spot on. Great !! They made the guest feel very welcome.

South AfricaWould like to give a feedback on the improvement that should be taken to ensure guest give excellent feedback. 1) If coffee mate is given for coffee in the room, why is their no milk given for tea? Do you expect the guest to use coffee mate in the tea instead of milk ? When the guest ask for milk they said they will be charged..- Remember you are a 4* hotel, please be in line with other 4* hotel. 2) Breakfast options very limited and when their are many guest, the foods is not replenished, guest have to ask for it, once again a 4* hotel have well spread out breakfast buffet. ( I am comparing Treffen house hotel a 4* with other 4* hotel) 3): The furniture in the room is outdated and scratched, the TV table has marble on it , so why not be consistant and have the table dressing table bedside table also covered with marble. 4) Have more lighting brother that enhances the ambience in the room. Please note this is not a complaint, but a feed back to look as how you can improve the ambience. Don't let other guest have to give a repeat of the feedback given. Finally, choice is of the management to compare Treffen house hotel with other 4* hotel ( compare bananas with bananas, and not bananas with apples ). Please do not take any offences. Regards
The day receptionist, The ladies, Huda, Ikram and the other 2 gave us a very warm welcome and did their best to ensure we have a comfortable stay. The Philippines lady in the Restaurant, was very helpful, jack of all trades.. running around and assisting guest ( multitasking) The security and attendants around the reception very helpful. Finally thanks to the Manager and his team for offering us a complementary shuttle service to airport. Thank you.

United KingdomI wish the AC was slightly more powerful!
The hotel Is in a great location, and very central! The staff were also brilliant and room was cleaned every day. The pool was also open every day and the gym. Some hotels I’ve stayed in Doha are often a bit funny with pool opening during the less busy and warmer months. I highly recommend the stay.

United KingdomThe pillows were not comfortable at all! The other guests were noisy (which is not really the hotels fault) but maybe soundproofing needs to be upgraded. I could hear other balcony door being slammed throughout the night. I didnt use the pool as it was windy and the hotel didn't have parasols up on the windy days. The fridge didn't work.
Housekeeping was great. Room was cleaned daily. Breakfast was good. Bottled water replaced daily. Air conditioning was good. Balcony was nice. Location of hotel was fantastic.

AustraliaI am sorry that after a very long flight, I did not appreciate the greeting I received at check-in. The Lady was very abrupt and dismissive.. Fortunately, I had no further contact with her.
Location next to Metro. Train to Airport aprox every 20 min. Next to all the Historice tourist sites. Very safe and easy to walk around or catch the Metro network to all other places worth visiting as a tourist. Room was spotless and the very nice young man who took care of the room was delightfull ,by his meet and greet manner . I appreciated the patio and the very interesting veiw of the city. I enjoyed a freashly cooked french omlette delivered by the chief to my table eash morning. Room service was one of the best I have ever received at a Hotel - Price was generous, food hot , and the order was delivered very quickly. by a very friendly well organised young lady.

FinlandPool was quite chilly, however refreshing in the 40 degrees. The rooms could deserve some update, like changing new silicone to shower/toilet, fresh paint and shower curtains. Nevertheless, the rooms were clean.
We arrived early in the morning and the hotel kindly organised a room available for us immediately, as we departed early the next day as well. The room had excellent view towards the city, which we enjoyed at the balcony. The hotel staff also let us to have breakfast at the day of arrival, instead of departure, which was great. The breakfast overall was really good. Location of the hotel is right next to the metro line which takes you directly to the airport and the most important areas of the city. Souq is in the walking distance, very close.

BelgiumThe hotel is old and already fairly run-down. Curtains and windows in bad need of cleaning. I had an unnecessary complication with staff wanting to charge me for breakfast, although my booking included breakfast. I guess that happens. What bothers me is that we went through the same exercise of proving I'm right three days in a row because noone felt it would make sense to make a change in their system.
The location was ideal for me.

Every member of staff from the cleaners, the door man and the reception could not have been more helpful. The dining room staff including ,Janice , Apo , Madushika and Myce made me feel very at home. South AfricaRoom needs a nice deep clean as some of the areas seems to have been overlooked, would have liked some comfortable chairs on the balcony especially when presented with a city view, and consider converting the bath into a shower...looks outdated and always a risk when climbing in and out of the bath...
