Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaHard to find a fault. Access to water taps in showers was only concern, you had stand under the shower head to turn on taps and tap only turned off on cold
Location was perfect with easy access to Doha metro (Souq Waqif) and perfect for access to the Souq Waqif which was very lively and entertaining at nighttime with lots of dining options. All the staff were very friendly and very helpful. Room was very clean, tidy and bed was very comfortable. Very good gym facilities and great to have pool access. The whole hotel environment was calm and quite

QatarWe stayed at Souq Waqif Boutique Hotels by Tivoli on 14th August (Building 6) and had a wonderful experience. The staff were incredibly kind, gentle, and professional. The Filipino receptionist was very welcoming, and when we checked out, Abdu (Indian staff) went above and beyond to help us all the way to the public parking — truly excellent service. The highlight of our stay was that it was my best friend’s birthday, and the hotel surprised us with a cake. It was such a thoughtful and generous gesture that made the celebration extra special. We are truly grateful for the warm hospitality and special touches. Thank you so much for making our stay memorable 🤗❤️

FinlandHotel has different buildings and pool is located in one of them. Pool was very small with very warm water due to weather condition. Better to have been kept cool to be refreshing in hot summer.
Hotel was very beautiful and greatly designed. Room was big and very comfortable. Very friendly staff.

CanadaWe only had one night here for an extended stopover, and if we had booked longer, I would have insisted on changing hotels or gone elsewhere because it really was not as expected and not what we wanted. This was our first time in Doha so we learned quickly and booked a much better property for our second stop in Doha on our next stopover while going home. This group has several hotels in the area, which we learned upon a confusing arrival (has a different name from the booking). The check-in/out process is handled from one hotel, and then guests are farmed to whichever property they will be staying in. The listing says there is a pool, breakfast, restaurants, etc, but take note that those facilities are spread across the various group hotels in the area. Our hotel had neither pool nor breakfast nor restaurant and required a golf cart ride or a walk to get to them. Had I realised that, I would not have booked this property. You sure can't be running around Doha in a bathing suit, and our family was not at all interested in swimming without having our rooms in the same building as the pool. Our rooms were large and were very clean, but there was also striking wear and tear such as torn wallpaper and chipped furniture. It had the look of a former luxury property - very grand but also very worn. If they restore, it will be very nice.
We had inconvenient flight times, and the staff were very accommodating about this, and we appreciated it a lot. I will add that in general the staff were excellent and everyone is trying their best. The rooms were nice and big and the beds were comfortable. The area is convenient to the Souq, a large restaurant area is nearby, the harbour is right there, as are some museums and a beautiful park.

United KingdomThe only downside was the breakfast menu it was a bit limited and could use more variety.
I initially booked for 1 night but extended my stay thanks to Bikash’s incredible hospitality his warm welcome made me cancel my other reservation. Kynn helped me navigate my first time in Qatar with ease, and Eugene’s unmatched energy and smile made me feel like family, not just a guest. Lifeguard Swabir went beyond safety, offering swim tips that truly added value. Ebtssam ensured a smooth checkout, and driver Ansar created a real bond, even printing a metro map and pointing out Qatar’s hidden gems. I’ve stayed in fancier hotels, but the staff here made this experience unforgettable. Highly recommend!

New ZealandRooms were slightly dated, and the view from our room (we didn't upgrade) wasn't that great but wasn't an issue at all.
Location in the Souq was amazing, such a great place to be near to, we had great meals and very reasonably priced. Staff were super friendly and helpful.

United StatesThe hotel is the best and very good option for your stay in Doha if you want to be in the heart of the historic Souq Waqif. More luxurious options are available fairly near by but a tough walking distance if you are visiting during the summer heat. The service staff were great. The buffet breakfast was excellent with abundant local fare and international offerings. Dinner at Al Terrace was delicious. Our server Aaisha? (sorry about not remembering her exact name - it’s been a couple days) was friendly, perfectly attentive and very helpful to us in making our voices. Please note that no alcohol may be served anywhere in Souq Waqif.

South AfricaThe armchairs in the room were stained and worn out. Also, the blinds looked a bit old and dusty, torn in some places.
Al Mirqab is a hotel of a good standard (big & clean rooms, comfortable beds), conveniently located in Souq Waqif. Special recognition goes to the porter named Prakash, who was very kind and helpful (he arranged all our transfers by melex golf cart, provided information about nearby attractions, as well as about the possible guided tour of Doha). Thank you very much, Prakash for taking a good care of us!
