Great breakfast, good discussion with the staff, clean Very correct for resting when hiking in the mountains. Nice walk by night (lamps provided) to go dinner in town. Extremely quiet night, very good sleep.

We would have liked to have a chance to get dinner there but going to town was not too bad either.

Friendly staff, good location, “strong” shower :-). We liked the breakfast, it was rather sweet than savory but it was still tasty. It was relatively cheap compared to other options in the area

The room was a bit older but ok for a night or two if you want to go hiking

The owners are very friendly and a decent breakfast with tea, coffee, juice and bread and jams is included. It is an easy walk into town by daylight, but challenging in the night, as is the drive.

It was cold when we were there and there is no heating so everything gets damp when it is raining. No seating area in the rooms we had, but possible in the lounge annex breakfast room.

FYI We were told on arrival that the wifi has been out since the cyclone in February. Still out 4 months later with no ETA. The infrastructure in the area looks like it needs serious repairs.

Breakfast would be improved just by adding some boiled eggs. It was overly sweet otherwise.

Not easy to find but the location is fantastic. Superb views and close to Hellbourg, a beautiful village. Friendly and helpful owner. Nice breakfast.

The only thing for us was the shower holder was missing so a bit difficult to wash your hair, otherwise everything else was fine.

Sadly, we didn’t enjoy our time staying here. Myself and my mother felt very unwelcome during our stay. I’m not sure it was because we were British and didn’t speak fluent French, but it made use feel very uncomfortable. Before staying here we had read the reviews about the dinner that they hosted, sadly we weren’t invited like all the other guests. This was very disappointing. The lady was very unfriendly and had a bad attitude, the man who we saw on the first day however was nice, even though he didn’t speak any English. I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless you speak fluent French. The room was very basic (which was expected) however we did think the shower would be attached to the wall, which it wasn’t…. So you have to hose yourself down which was difficult when washing hair ect. We wouldn’t stay here again.

Appartment in a very bad state, be it toilet or shower. Very high humidity level. Door not clsing properly.

To get there on foot you have to walk in the forest.It’s perfectly fine during the day,but at night as a solo traveller it could not be very pleasant.

Good location above Hell-Bourg close to the hiking trails. Homemade jam for breakfast and an option to have a creole dinner together with the other guests.

Room ("Terre Plate") had no window, only french doors for natural light and ventilation.

Clean and spacious room with exceptional mountain vibes. Host was very nice and also recommended a few things to do and visit in the neighborhood. Very good wifi connection. Until now, its the best accommodation I have had during my stay in La Reunion.
