Staying at Philoxenia Guest House was so much more than just having a place to sleep. It truly felt like a home away from home. The location is perfect, right by the beach with the sound of the ocean and incredible sunsets. Also a great base to explore the island. The house itself is full of charm with a relaxed and welcoming vibe. But what made our stay really unforgettable was the host. Rarely have we met someone so warm, kind and genuinely generous. From the first moment we felt completely at ease and taken care of. The fresh homemade breakfast every morning was such a treat. But more than anything it’s the host’s hospitality and warmth that made this place so special

Loved this place. Beautiful property and gardens, the rooms are newly renovated, lovely and spotless. Direct access to the beach - which is one of the best beaches you will ever visit. Breakfast is excellent. Most of all this place is a straight 10, because the hosts Thanos and Alice and their wonderful family are all amazing and very kind people. We felt at ease from the start and when my partner was a little unwell on arrival, Alice immediately took time out her day to arrange and accompany us to a docs appointment for treatment. What they’ve built here is truly excellent and we just wish we’d booked more days. Thanks

The only thing I didn’t like is that we didn’t book our full stay in Reunion here and only booked two nights. This place is amazing, nothing constructive to say!

The house has a very welcoming atmosphere and Alice and Thanos are very gracious hosts - always there with a kind smile and willing to help, but never interrupting your peaceful and quiet vacation. The food was exceptional - probably the best breakfast I have ever had. Having your breakfast in the back garden while looking at the ocean was an incredible experience. The house is located directly on the beach and simply cannot be closer to the ocean. I am now measuring and comparing all hotel stays to the experience we had here, and I can tell you everyone is going to have a hard time beating Philoxenia. Thank you, Alice and Thanos!

We wish we stayed longer !

Everything ! Beautiful, right on a nice beach. Comfortable large bed, bedroom & bathroom, decorated with taste & style. We had the room facing the sea, with our own little balcony. Alice and Thanos are great hosts and made all possible for our stay to be amazing. The breakfast was worth a 5 star restaurant and was made with attention to details. A peaceful and relaxing stay. It was the most amazing couple of days after a week+ of walking and hiking we wanted a couple of days to chill and relax before flying home. Our room opened onto a terrace with our own table and chairs for breakfast and dinner and in front of the garden gate opened onto the most beautiful beach you could imaging. What's not to like! Breakfast was awesome and we asked for dinner on both nights which was equally awesome. The owners are super nice, relaxed people and the room was lovely with a large bathroom ... we absolutely loved it!

Can't complain about anything, they take care of you better than family. We are very early risers and love coffee- Thanos solution- hot thermos of coffee ready for us when we get up!

Best hosts ever! Such a friendly and warm family, you couldn't ask for anyone better or a more welcoming atmosphere. Right on the beach but a beautiful shaded yard filled with birds and the occasional lizard.. Snorkeling and other gear available (oh all the colorful fish and coral in a safe beach without sharks). Wonderful to have Thanos, your own person chef, serve you in front of your room- best meals on the island and every breakfast was a delight for the eyes and tastebuds. Great place to wind down after a long journey from Canada. Perfect base for exploring all of the west coast and all routes from that side up into the interior.

The hosts were extremely nice and kind and the breakfast simply amazing - Best breakfast I ever had. The location is also perfect, during the right season you can observe whales from the garden of the B&B.

Great place to stay and the hosts are wonderful. We spent two nights here upon arrival in Reunion. Amazing place to recuperate after the long flight and relax on the beach. The lagoon is sheltered from waves and sharks. Perfect for young kids. Very tasty homemade breakfast is served in the morning. Hosts are incredibly nice and helpful. Just as a tip if you use Google maps to navigate it will take you down the wrong road. You have to turn right immediately after the Le Nautile restaurant sign. You'll get to the green gate and can use the button to ring the bell.

What a gem! If you have a chance to book a room at Philoxenia, make sure to book it. Alice and Thanos created a beautiful place to stay directly by the beach (even more beautiful than on the pictures) and they go above and beyond to make your stay as nice as possible including amazing breakfasts. Hands down best stay during our time in Réunion!
