“Beautiful Place right next to the ocean, very remote and calm. Staff is exceptional and tries to help in any way possible! Beach was pretty clean and the apartments are basic but nice with an awesome view”

  • Haven Villa Review score: 8

“The owner was really really friendly and courteous. The breakfast was really good and there was a gym we could use.”

  • Luxurious Akwaaba Villa Review score: 10

“Luxurious Akwaaba Villa gave me and my family a great stay for the 3 days that I booked. The apartment is very spacious and neat. The location is easy accessible. The caretakers gave us an unforgettable welcome that made our stay an enjoyable one. We got everything that we needed within and outside the apartment without any stress. The poolside and the bar is a top notch. The kitchen too had all the kitchen appliances that we needed A colleague of mine recommended Luxurious Akwaaba Villa to me and I can testify that it is indeed Luxurious. If you are looking for a nice Airbnb apartment at Kwesimintim, then don't look any further, Luxurious Akwaaba Villa will get you covered. We are planning to visit there again.”

  • Afro Beach eco Resort Butre Review score: 10

“Beautiful, serene location, friendly and attentive staff, and fantastic food (Ghanaian and some fusion dishes) at reasonable prices. The Ghanaian-owned beachfront resort is off the beaten path (quite literally :)), absolutely worth the journey, and perfect to relax. Spacious rooms without AC - the ceiling fan is absolutely sufficient. Accesible via trotro/motorbike/taxi from Takoradi/Bokro or pick up by owner Francis. We had the best time, thank you all @Afro Beach :)”

  • “The warm hospitality and sustainable eco-lodge are definitely worth experiencing. The rooms are simply furnished but have everything you need. The lighthouse is around 20 minutes away and the beach is just 100 metres away. There is a restaurant at the eco-lodge where Edy will treat you to local dishes. Joseph and the other hosts are also very helpful when it comes to organising excursions. We went on a hike to the Akwidaa waterfall with Kwemi, which was lovely.”

“the immediate contact with nature and the kindness of the staff”

  • Haven Villa Review score: 10

“Everything was on point. The Host was very pleasant and accommodating, the apartment was surprisingly hugh, clean, decor tastefully done very modern. Rooms and beds were comfortable. Quiet neighborhood serene environment Breakfast was simple and nice. I traveled with my family and the children had lots to entertain them. There was a swing set and ping pong table for them to play. Which they did. Swing needs updating but it was fine. Overall I would highly recommend for a small family vacation.”

“What a paradise this local family has created there! Located by the sea and under palm trees, the location is unbeatable. Helpful in every way and the cuisine is as excellent as it is well-priced. They get their fish fresh every day from the fishermen next door. The wifi is very reliable by local standards.”

  • Afro Beach eco Resort Butre Review score: 9

“Fantastic beach hut on the Western side of Ghana. This family run business is a great location for those wanting to explore Ghana's Western beaches and culture, such as Butre village or go surfing on Busua Beach. There's plenty of hidden treasures to explore in this region, and if you ask the staff they are more than willing to take you on a tour or a boat ride around the local community.”
