“Ivy was a lovely welcoming host; very nice breakfast; attractive building; very good location for the ferry.”

  • Brackenberry Review score: 10

“Being in Mary’s house is like stepping back into your childhood days when you’d stay with your granny - sleeping on a comfortable mattress with soft pillows, swaddled in clean, chintz sheets and waking up to the sound of laughter and a hot breakfast sizzling downstairs. Mary is a warm and charming person and we very much enjoyed our chats with her. She is very open and accommodating and a wonderful cook! The room is comfortable and has everything you’d need. Don’t let the idea of a shared bathroom deter you - we never had to wait to go and it was always clean and fresh.”

  • “An absolutely beautiful historic house. Huge bedroom and bathroom. Everything was perfect. Location was great for a walk to the water and town. Hosts were super nice!”

  • Amica Guesthouse Review score: 9

“We honestly loved everything about our stay! The room was thoughtfully equipped with plenty of blankets and pillows, well-ventilated with windows, and kept wonderfully warm with good heating. A mini fridge was provided, which was perfect for storing our yoghurts and water. The tea bags, Nescafé instant coffee sachets, mini milks, sugar, and kettle were such a lovely touch. I especially enjoyed sipping my coffee in the morning while gazing out the window at the beautiful sky. The powerful hairdryer was excellent, not just for drying but also for styling my hair in the mornings. We felt comfortable and safe the entire time. Downstairs, the shared kitchen was stocked with cutlery, crockery, and a microwave, which was very convenient. The good-sized TV was another highlight, with plenty of features and the option to log into our own Netflix and watch to our hearts’ content. Honestly, I couldn’t have wished for better accommodation during my trip to Belfast!”
