  “The property was practical and cute, in a renovated stone outbuilding belonging to a nice family. They run a husky-sledding business but the gîte is on a different part of the property and we didn’t see or hear any dogs (but if we had had more time I would have liked to).The gîte has 3 bedrooms: 2 with double bed, 1 with bunk beds and a nice bathroom with a good shower. Towels and sheets were included as well as final cleaning but the usual tidying is expected before leaving. Dogs are allowed which is fantastic and the floor is tiled throughout so bring a dog bed or mat. There was an additional bed sofa in the central living/dining room. It has a dishwasher, microwave, cooker, kettle, fridge, TV and free parking. There is a table and chairs outside too. We felt at home right away. The hosts were really nice and gave us extra sheets so that we could spread out. If you are driving from Switzerland to the south-west coast of France then this gîte lies perfectly at the mid-way point. It isn’t too far from the highway, but you feel as though you are in another world, surrounded by rolling hills and farms. We were lucky to get the gîte for one night, I think people usually stay longer.”

  “Good location to visit the town with easy street parking. Room was absolutely fine for our needs after a very long drive and because the air con was not working (there was a fan in the room and a large window that could open) we were offered a free small continental breakfast. The staff were lovely. We would certainly stay here again.”

  “Fantastic location. Very peaceful, quiet and private. Close to beautiful lake where we were able to walk in the woods. Enjoyed the sunshine on the balcony in the morning. Huge garden. Good kitchen facilities. Very clean. Excellent instructions from host on how to find property.”
