    “We absolutely loved this place! We came as a family of 4 with my 2 daughters aged 5 and 7. My 7 year old says it's her favourite place on our 2 week Italian holiday and wants to come to stay every year! The cool inside the cave was a welcome oasis from the July Matera heat! We were blown away by the size (huge), stylish interior design and modernity of our cave dwelling suite. Even better than the pictures! Loved that we were told the story behind the room we stayed in. The owners are so kind and welcoming. They provided recommendations etc. Location was fantastic and easily walkable to everything (even with our young kids)! Breakfast was simple continental style with a few hot options on buffet but perfectly satisfying and all 4 of us were happy enough. Excellent granola for me, the girls loved the chocolate cake and savoury foccacia type bites that my husband enjoys! Matera is such a unique city and definitely worth the visit...and if you do....stay here!”

    “Perfect stay! The room and bathroom were spotless and very comfortable. Ideal location, just a short walk from the Sassi. The shared entrance was not a problem at all – the owner is extremely polite and respectful. Free parking was also easy to find nearby. Highly recommended”

    “La Casa Nei Sassi is in a fantastic location and Simona is a fantastic host. We had a car & Simona gave exact instructions on where we could park & then take the local bus, which would drop us a few metres from Casa Nei Sassi. This was a big relief and easy to do. Breakfast was included and we walked down to a little caffe-brilliant. Simona gave us a map & circled places of interest, restaurants, etc. which was very helpful. Simona is a very thoughtful host.”
