  “We loved the traditional house on stilts that we got to stay in. Beds were comfortable and had mosquito nets and fans overhead, the nets definitely necessary as there were plenty of gaps in the wooden floor and walls for bugs to get into the room. However I loved the feeling of sleeping in a cabin that was quite porous to the sounds of birds and frogs outside. There was a modern bathroom beneath the room plus shaded space to eat and laze in hammocks. Our host was really friendly and chatty and a great cook, she also prepared us breakfast to take on our travels as we had an early start. The location is lovely, in the countryside about 10 mins outside town. There are multiple rooms available on the site so I guess at busy times it might feel more like a b&b than a homestay, but I think it would still be nice even so.”

  “Anut & John are exceptional, hidden gems of Battambang. Thanks to them, so friendly and caring, I had a wonderful stay at their Guesthouse. No one in the next room, the bathroom was just for me. Very good "Amok" and organic mixed fruit juice. Motorbike rental at your doorstep.”

  “Everything! The house of Saro and his family is truly one of the best experience of our trip. He is very friendly, available and fixed everything for us (guided tour by himself to the batcaves and killing caves, food, tuktuk to Battambang). We felt very welcome in his family and the tent was super comfortable. Would recommend it to everyone who wants a true human experience.”

  “Enjoyable stay. We were able to leave our bags before and after check- which was great- especially as we rocked up around 6am! The room is nice, bed comfy and the bathroom is good. Really, really nice guy working at reception who seemed like he really wanted to get to know the guest and make us as comfortable as possible - bonus points for him! Also great location to town!”
