  • The Braeriach Review score: 8

“The room was decorated well and the beds were very comfy. The bathroom and shower were nice too. We liked the staff and they offered a free breakfast for having being woken up by the fire alarm and having to wait outside in our dressing gowns until we were able to go back in!”

  • “I booked 2 lodges for our family of 12, plus 1 dog, to celebrate my daughter's 21st birthday. The lodges were well equipped, comfortable and cosy, and had everything we needed for a memorable weekend. Malcolm introduced himself to my sister, and he showed her how to use the gas BBQ. Although it rained, and we couldn't eat outside, there was enough space for us all to gather and eat in one lodge. The lodges were a few minutes walk into Braemar village, where we made use of the chip shop, café, pub and shops. Great base for our hike up Lochnagar.”

  • Star Hotel Kingussie Review score: 10

“The ease of arrival, and help in finding our way including with the Parking was a lovely way of being welcomed. The whole stay was very comfortable. The staff were faultless. Everywhere impeccable and lots of details (quality of soap and shampoos etc a nice surprise.) We would mention in particular Tracey who was so incredibly welcoming and accommodating in terms of our planning and change of mind to stay on. Dinner was five star - and we ate in the hotel the whole time it was so good. And that includes the extremely good value for breakfast which kept us going all day.. The managing team was very present and checking in on the customers which is always a big plus ! Great value for money. We will be back …”

“Excellent location, very comfortable bedroom with superb views, friendly staff”

  • “We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay. Many places claim they are dog friendly when they are not really. Staff were all very polite and friendly. The resort has something for everyone. We are booked in later in the year because we enjoyed our stay so much.”

  • Nethybridge Hotel Review score: 9

“Great large hotel, very friendly staff, the food was great for both evening meal and breakfast…. The rooms were good, we had the slightly more expensive rooms which had been modernised…. The bar and restaurant were good, some of the hotel was a bit tired particularly in the corridors, but we were pleased with the rooms, wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again as we did enjoy our stay”
