“Was beautiful & felt very homey. The hosts were welcoming and very accomodating. Views are brilliant, and lots of seating areas. Only regret is not staying longer. Many thanks to the hosts.”
“As stated in the description of the property, location is in a rural area. We travelled by car, so didn't mind a little bit of driving. Quiet, relaxing atmosphere, we had the entire apartment, which is is nicely equipped for your needs. Our stay was in a hot time of the year, even though we were out for most of the day, we had the have the A/C running before bed time. Electricity consumption is monitored ( not big deal, of only .50 euro cents per KW) and apartment is poorly insulated, so air conditioning efficiency is is low. At night time we couldn't have it running, since cold air was blowing above the bed. Overall our stay was pleasant, no major complaints, we enjoyed our vacation. Recommend it.”
“Sol y Monte is a family run B&B. It is very private and peaceful place. We felt really welcome and were spoiled with milkshakes for breakfast :)
Sol y Monte has a nice swimming pool on the top of the mountain which was especially amazing after dark. Nice spot for watching falling stars by the way!
There is a dried river down the hill which was perfect for a couple of hours hike during our stay.
My 11 years old son described the overall stay in just one word - the Jackpot :)) It was a pitty the rest of the days were fully booked already”
“Isabel and Guido were delightful hosts, and we felt welcome from the moment we arrived. As has been said elsewhere, pizzas on the roof while the sun was setting was quite magical.”
“What can I say, if you're looking for a calm place in the middle of mother nature far from city rush - Casa Ceratonia should be your choice. This home is so much full of personal touch of Marcell and Monique. The area around and views are marvellous. It's definitely worth visiting. I regret we've been there only for 2 nights.
They have a super-duper cat our 3-year-old daughter liked to play with”
“The hotel was in a beautiful historic villa which had a large garden in which we sat out for our breakfast and evening meal. The breakfast included a lot of local produce and the hotel had a nice selection of evening meals and drinks. The owner was wonderful and made our stay special. He was very pleasant, interesting to talk to and helpful. There was a good train service into Malaga and a small minibus from the station which went up into the lovely town of Alora. I would highly recommend this hotel!”
“I stayed 5 nights at Hotel Durán and had a very pleasant experience. The hotel is quiet and clean, and during my stay I didn’t hear any noise from other guests. The air conditioning worked perfectly, which was great in the warm weather.
On top of that, the view is beautiful and really adds to the relaxing atmosphere. The owner is very helpful and takes the time to explain how the public transport works, such as trains and buses, which made getting around Álora much easier.
In short: a clean, peaceful and welcoming hotel with lovely views – perfect for a relaxing stay.”
