    “The experience here was emblematic of Japanese tradition. The architecture of the hotel, sleeping on Tatami mats in a spacious room overlooking the lake, Sitting in the Onsen spa looking out at Mt. Fuji and enjoying the multicourse traditional breakfasts was as enjoyable as it was memorable. The personal attention from the staff and the breakfast ladies was brilliant. As well as providing advice on sightseeing, and travel options they were exceptional. After we left and were at the bus station leaving for Nagoya, I realised we had forgotten in the room some Green tea bought from Tokyo. I telephoned the hotel literally 20 minutes before boarding on the off chance that hotel staff might be able to get them to us. As I was stepping onto the bus, the concierge himself had driven to the station and handed me the forgotten items! Even after checking out they went above and beyond and with such cordiality and dignity it is hard to see anywhere else in the world. This place is a must stay for those who value tradition and calm.”
