  • “Nice hotel in Kanazawa, not far from the station. Modern room well furnished. Clean in every area. Fantastic Onsen at the last floor. Good breakfast. Staff polite and fluent in english. Would definitely come back!”

  • “The complex had a very good supermarket and brewery. Everything was clean.”

  • “The hotel is quite small with a cosy atmosphere, but modern amenities. It lies only a short walk away from the train station. Be aware that you'll have to walk back to the other side of the station to get to most restaurants and bars in town. The reception staff was friendly and helpful, and very proficient in English, which is not always the case, even in bigger hotels. The breakfast was really good and freshly prepared by two very friendly staff members. Apparently they alternate between a traditional Japanese and a Western breakfast, which seemed to be identical ever other day. This might have become a bit repetitive if we had stayed longer. The hotel has a small private open-air hot bath, which is open till after midnight - great for some relaxation after a long day of sightseeing or hiking before going to bed.”

  • Lakeland Hotel Mizunosato Review score: 10

“We had an amazing stay. The staff were extremely kind and helpful, and the free transfer from the train station was much appreciated. Dinner and breakfast were excellent, with great quality and care. Our room had a breathtaking view of Mount Fuji, which made the experience unforgettable. Everything exceeded our expectations – highly recommended!”

  • Gardenvilla Shirahama Review score: 9

“The hotel is rather remote, which is a blessing and a drawback. Its very quiet, and the view is nice, especially from the communal pool. But if you want to explore Shimoda, you have to be careful not to miss the last bus or be willing to get a taxi. The beautiful Shirahama beach is only a 10 minute walk away, so if you're happy with just chilling there or at the pool, you don't have to worry about getting around. However, there are also only a few restaurants in a walkable distance, and while we usually prefer to eat out to experience the local cuisine, next time we might book our stay including dinner to avoid that complication. The staff was very friendly and helpful, creating a family atmosphere. The private open-air hot baths are wonderful and great for relaxation. The pool bar is a nice addition to round up any vacation day.”

  • “Great hotel with excellent facilities, providing frequent shuttle services between the hotel and Kawaguchiko train station. Additional bus services to Mt. Fuji and surrounding areas were also available and reasonably priced. Lots of luggage storage space in the reception area. Highly convenient location with breakfast included.”
