“We had an unforgettable stay at the Barracuda Boutique Hotel in Itacaré.
The restaurant is without a doubt the best in town, offering refined and creative cuisine, an outstanding cocktail bar, and a varied, delicious homemade breakfast.
The staff is exemplary: attentive, welcoming, and always available to organize excursions or share valuable advice on activities in the region. A special thanks to Anna and Brenda for their patience and kindness.
The rooms are very comfortable, and the Scandinavian-inspired décor, thought through in every detail, creates an elegant and warm atmosphere where you immediately feel at ease.
The hotel also offers a wonderful view of the fishing boats, and its ideal location, close to the town center, makes it easy to reach the beaches, restaurants, and shops of Itacaré on foot.
A unique place where you truly feel at home, and one that is hard to leave.”
“Very clean, best property with value for price in Itacaré.
The beds are very comfortable.
Adriana is a such an amazing owner.
Very easy to meet people for alone-travelers.”
“I had one of the best hostel experiences ever at Praieira Pousada & Hotel. The place itself is clean, cozy, and perfectly located – but what really makes it special is Rafael, the owner. He is always available, super friendly, and truly cares about his guests. Whatever you need, he’ll find a way to help – whether it’s tours, surf lessons, or insider tips about Itacaré. He knows the town inside out and has great contacts everywhere. It honestly felt less like staying in a pousada and more like being welcomed into a community. Couldn’t recommend this place more – I’ll definitely be back!”
“We stayed at Aldeia do Mar (now called Aldeia do Mar Sensorial Hotel) and overall had a nice experience. The location is very good, right in front of the beach, with a small lighthouse nearby that creates beautiful sunset landscapes. The beach itself is excellent: calm like a swimming pool and easy to walk along. Our bungalow was quiet, surrounded by greenery, and at night the only sounds were the waves and nature, very relaxing. The bed was OK (the mattress a bit too soft for us), but we slept well. Breakfast was very good, with plenty of options. The hotel’s restaurant is also very good (prices are high, but in line with the best restaurants in town). It’s about a safe 10 minute walk to the city center (just avoid carrying expensive items, remember where you are). Contrary to some reviews we had read, the road to the hotel and the street in front of it are fine. Remember, this is the Northeast of Brazil, not Germany. Free of noise, beautiful setting, and overall peaceful atmosphere.
We enjoyed our stay, did a cocoa farm visit and a boat tour, and had a good time as a family. That said, it didn’t leave us with the feeling of wanting to return like other places we’ve visited. It’s worth staying once and enjoying the experience, but probably not a “come back” place for us.”
“Wonderful experience.
The staff was very helpful.
We loved the breakfast and the bed was very comfortable.
We also love the owner that is a very nice person.
Everything was though to high standards.
We'll highly recommend this quite and peaceful place that is a perfect scape to recover from a long trip.
We're grateful and happy with our stay.”
