  “I have traveled the world, and I can easily say this was one of the nicest stays in my life! I was visiting Grossarl from Vienna for a long weekend to hike the alps and relax at the spa. Not only were the location and facilities absolutely beautiful, clean, and cozy, the staff was so attentive and professional. Everything felt like a dream- from being greeted with a welcome sekt to a lovely note with my name on it and complimentary chocolates in the room, to allowing a late check out and sending me off with a small gift of their own homemade smoked salt, everything was just perfect. I was treated so well by such friendly people. The dinners were an absolute highlight- each dish was brilliantly crafted and presented, and the taste almost made me cry. I have been telling my family and friends about Grossarlhof, and will continue to spread the word- my favorite hotel I've ever stayed in!”

  “Our room was big and clean always. The food was exceptionally delicious and the employees are the nicest and friendliest we have ever experienced! We have been to many hotels in Austria and around the world, but these have been so far the best. We felt at home, our needs were met. They would even warm food for our toddler and would make suggestions for his food incase the kids menu was not what he could eat. They always found solutions to accommodate him too. This is a hotel that we will definitely visit again. Thats has never been the case. My toddler fell in love with Julia. She was amazing.. We didn't feel uneasy with the kids if they were hyper, the employees would indulge them and this would distract the kids. They didn't react irritated, they were welcoming. For the first time I found a cook who knows how to make Lamb meat. Yummy and delicious food. We were greeted and welcomed at the reception like VIPs. The beds were comfortable, the play room was really nice and we loved the table they selected for us during our stay. Amazing hotel, amazing team, everything was amazing. We loved it and wished we had booked longer. There are shops and cafés also in the area so incase one wants to shop or chill somewhere else, it's available. Best place for families. Weiter so...”

  “Where to start! Maria and her team run a beautiful hotel in Grossarl. We booked the suite because we wanted a balcony and we were not disappointed. Gorgeous view of the town and the mountains. The hotel itself is very comfortable, we used the upstairs sauna quite a bit. Beds were comfortable and the room was very clean. The breakfast were top, great selection of healthy food as well as lots of nice pastries and treats. We ate at the restaurant downstairs a couple of nights. Very fresh produce, would highly recommend the super food salad (if you’re feeling a little bit overloaded on the traditional Austrian fare!) The hotel is about a 15 minute walk to the gondolas which we used to go up the mountain and then hike from there. However, there are plenty of other hikes near the hotel that you don’t need to use the gondala for. They are well focused on sustainability too, no small bottles of shampoo or soap. And refill water. It’s good to see this. Thanks Maria and team! We had a great time and loved your hotel.”

  “Great accommodation: 3 bedrooms, which is a rarity at this price, plus a comfortable living room-kitchen, large bathroom and 2 balcony. It is located in the upper part of a beautiful valley, next to a small village with a shop and restaurant. There is bicycle storage.”
