  • Camden Arms Hotel Review score: 8

“We had a lovely stay at the Camden, we had the Four Post bedroom, clean and comfortable and quiet. The restaurant was great and a very good meal. Breakfast was lovely and a big thank you to the staff, they made us feel welcome.”

  • “Despite some admin difficulty (see below) the owner was very pleasant & helpful and the rooms above the pub were comfortable, recently fitted-out and generally clean. We had all 3 rooms for family members as we were attending an event at Wadhurst Castle for which the pub is well placed (c.10 mins' walk). We were in the suite which had a very large bathroom with bath and walk-in shower. A Nespresso machine was also provided. Although over the pub and on the main road through the village, the accommodation was peaceful at night and we slept well. There is keypad entry for house guests separate from the pub. We did not have breakfast but there are nice cafes in the village which do coffee, pastries, and some cooked breakfasts, and at least 1 was open from 8am on Sunday, so that was fine. The suite would benefit from a few extra touches like a full length mirror or at least some lighting over the small mirror which is currently in the darkest corner of the bathroom. Plus a full complement of tea/coffee materials beyond just 2 coffee pods and the minimum of milk sachets. But the owner was very willing to provide extras when we requested them.”

  • Sedlescombe Golf Hotel Review score: 1

“Unable to say as the hotel was in total darkness and locked up when our operative arrived late evening due to traffic.”

  • “The staff and customer service was exeptional nothiing was to much trouble and service with a smile. The reception team was friendly and very welcoming. 14 of our family and friends stayed at the Elite Venue from London & Peterborough. For the raciing at Lingfield Park. And we would refer our friends & family to stay hear again the breakfast was amazing. Nothing was to to much trouble. Great team effort. Thank you to the staff for a great experience . We enjoyed our stay.”

  • “Pretty location, room fresh and bright, breakfast good. Staff super helpful.”
