  “Unfortunately, this was one of the worst stays I have ever experienced in my career. We came to Ikaria for a wedding and had booked a triple room. The owner cancelled the reservation through a message on Booking, which I never saw, as the reservation still appeared confirmed and ready. I only realized this once I had already arrived in Ikaria. At first, she suggested we could stay in two double rooms, which sounded acceptable. However, when we arrived around 12:30 (check-in was supposed to be at 12:00, as we had a rehearsal at 14:00), she informed us that only one double room was available. The room itself was extremely small even for two people, yet there were three of us. I ended up sleeping on the floor. The refund I received was nowhere near the actual price difference. I paid €105 and only got €25 back, even though I later found out that the hotel charges €61 for a double room. On top of this, the check-in wasn’t completed until 13:40, which left us just 10 minutes to get ready for the rehearsal and rush to the event. The photos of the room also had nothing to do with the reality we encountered—I’m sharing pictures to show the difference. The next day, two of us—including myself, who had slept on the floor—got sick because we didn’t get proper rest and were under extreme stress.”
