“I was very excited for my trip to Rapa Nui, as it had always been a lifetime dream. My stay at Atavai Hotel made it even more special—it honestly felt like visiting friends from the very first minute until the last. I was warmly welcomed at the airport by Antoine and his family with a beautiful flower lei, and they kindly drove me to the hotel. Antoine took the time to explain what to do on Rapa Nui while I was sipping my fresh juice and then showed me to my room. The room was simple but very nice. It had everything I needed—Wi-Fi, a TV, a fridge, a kettle with tea and coffee. It was very clean and comfortable. Once you step outside, you’re surrounded by beautiful tropical plants and trees—it truly feels like a little piece of heaven. I only managed to have breakfast once during my stay because I had early tours most mornings, but that one breakfast was fantastic with a fresh omelette, fruit salad, and more. On my departure day, Antoine even suggested I spend my time exploring the town, and he personally brought my luggage to the airport before my flight. How nice is that! Small gestures like this really made me feel at home.”
