    “We experienced true Albanian hospitality at Hotel Aleks! The whole family is so friendly and attentive. They gave us a lot of fresh figs (directly from their garden) as a welcome treat, helped us organising our transport to Valbona and provided free parking and safe luggage storage during our multi-day hike in the mountains. We also enjoyed the free bike rental to explore the city. Impressive cleanliness, exceptional helpfulness. Best hotel of our three-week journey through Albania!”

    “The location was perfect just outside the stores and cafe’s street. Beds were comfortable, good shower and nice balcony. The breakfast was included and it was an huge quantity of food per person. We chose the Italian menu, eggs, cheese and sausage, milk, orange juice, coffee, bowl of fruits and to finish a huge pancake with Nutella. Next day we shared one for two of us.”

    “The host were great, extremely nice and helpful. Location was good, quiet part of town but still short walk from the centre. Rooms were nothing special, but each had AC, bathroom and fridge which was nice. Bathrooms are very small with combined shower and toilet, however this was never a problem. The place has a nice spacious garden that fits 2-3 cars and is perfect to relax during the warm summer days. Some bikes were also provide which made going to the centre even easier. We stayed with 14 people and had a great stay. There is a combined common room with plenty of cutlery and kitchenware. It was easy to cook meals for large groups there.”

    “Cozy little huts with AC (!) which really saved us during 35 degree Celsius heat. Shared bathroom and shower were okay. The location is a bit further from the busier tourist / hostel streets but it’s easy enough to walk there. Big supermarket just around the corner. Very nice if you spend a few nights in Shkoder.”

    “Beautiful historic property with brand new bathrooms. Air conditioning provided. Lots of space in the room. Staff was excellent and allowed us to leave our bags for a couple hours after checking out while we walked around the town. The location is perfect as it is central and close to busses. Did not eat any of the food at the restaurant, so can't comment on that. Great value.”
