“The kind of magical place you stumble across. We stayed for 1 night on the way to the Dordogne and we couldn't have been made more welcome. Food was offered and cooked for us for a reasonable cost and we had full use of the garden with a fire pit, marshmallows to roast and drinks as required. A lovely breakfast. It made us feel the holiday had started perfectly.”
“The appartment is located in the heart of historic Meung-sur-Loire, in a maze of small streets and rivulets running beside streets and under houses, and two minutes' walk from the castle and 13th century church. It has a satisfactory kitchen, very comfortable bed, a desk and chair, a nice bathroom. It's very nicely decorated in an old-timey style, and I was welcomed by towels folded into the shape of a swan, a nice touch. There's a small private courtyard.”
“My wife and I were looked after really well. The host provided everything we needed and was very attentive. She cooked us a delicious meal and it was paired with a fantastic local white wine. The room was very comfortable, secure parking, lovely outdoor space, great breakfast too. Recommended as somewhere to stay when travelling through France.”
“We liked everything. We had stayed here in July with our granddaughter and we liked it so much that we decided to stay again on our return to UK. The bed is so comfortable as is the bedlinen. Florence and her husband are so welcoming and helpful. The location is in a quiet and calm village which is easily accessible from the main roads. Breakfast was plentiful with homemade produce. Florence had remembered that I was unable to eat wheat and on both occasions had baked a cereal biscuit especially.
The outside space had a swimming pool and a table tennis table which we used
Thank you for your accueil chaleureux. A la prochaîne annee!!”
“Christine and Nicolas are super hosts and made me feel very comfortably in their beautiful home. The setting and the gardens are fab plus a beautiful swimming pool tucked away. And I had the best sleep in months there before enjoying a lovely French breakfast in the dining room.”
“We had cycled to Briare from the outskirts of Paris and arrived around 4pm on a Sunday evening. The accommodation was lovely and there was a secure area for us to store our bikes. We set off early the next day but not before enjoying a breakfast including pastries, fruit, yogurts, juice and coffee.”
