“Warm and friendly welcome, interesting and comfortable room filled with lace industry artefacts and pictures. It was lovely to hear about the lace making history of Calais from our host. Our evening meal and breakfast were both delicious and our hosts catered for our gluten free daughter without any problems.”
“What a delightful place and the host couldn’t have been more welcoming. Beautiful surroundings and a delightful mix of old and modern with many french characteristics. This is completely different to your usual brand of hotel chains. It is what some would describe as ‘quirky’. We were served with a wonderful breakfast which, unfortunately, we could not do justice to. The bed was obviously of good quality just a bit harder than we are used to and that is not a criticism.
