  • Bolita Trails and Lodging Review score: 10

“Bolita is a very unique place. You’ll find yourself surrounded by Costa Rica’s nicest nature.”

  • “Incredibly beautiful location with a jungle feel right on the beach. The Amaya family and everyone involved are kind and very well organized - not used to such all-round service when traveling, we felt truly spoiled.”

  • Osa Conservation Campus Review score: 9

“Such a lovely place to stay if you are interested in nature and conservation. The people were very friendly, the food was yummy and we saw Howler monkeys and toucans right near our room.”

  • Danta Corcovado Lodge Review score: 10

“Everything! Just what we wanted. Totally different. Great walks. Saw lots of wildlife. Tower was brilliant for bird watching. Food good. Trip to the forest with guide was great.”

  • Nereus Review score: 10

“Everything! Nereus is pure zen. From the comfortable rooms with their refreshingly minimalistic decor to the beautiful and cozy pool, lounge and dining area, the lush garden, the pristine private beach, the amazingly good homecooked food and - first and foremost - Stuart and Jenns unique ability to make you feel at home and part of something very special. We loved our talks at the dinner table, and we will recommend this place to anyone interested in more than just an ordinary nice hotel experience.”

  • “This place has stolen our hearts. We couldn’t be more thankful and happy with our stay here, best in our 3,5 weeks in Costa Rica! The nicest owners who put their heart, soul and much effort in this lovely ecolodge with lots of attention for the wildlife welfare. Our tent by the beach was lovely. (It’s one of the nicest beaches we saw and we were there all alone!) Sunrises and sunsets there were amazing. We saw all four monkeys species each day, macaws flew over our heads and we saw lots of other wildlife too: truly unique being so close to nature and wildlife. This is not just a nice place to stay, it’s a whole experience beyond compare. Couldn’t recommend this place enough!! Thank you for having us, we will be cherishing our stay there forever and will be back.”

  • “Exceptional location a bit further and quieter from crazy Drake Bay. We had the bungalow with the traditional roof made of fishtail palm leaves and could just open the door to see the waves crash on the rocks just in front of it - dreamy!! Outdoor shower: nothing to top that! The food was so nice, especially the traditional Tico breakfast and the pastries omg! Staff was super kind and helpful. The best part about Jungla del Jaguar is without a doubt their guide Yasnir. Yasnir is very knowledgeable and passionate. He has also many interesting and intense stories to tell about his wildlife encounters in and out of the national park! Make sure to build up a minimum of physical condition before going on the Corcovado daytrip, it is quite a challenging hike with walking up (and down) a lot of muddy hills, and you will be walking 6 to 7 hours in hot and humid conditions! (With the awesome wildlife and forest beauty distractions, needless to say it's totally worth it).”

  • Cabinas Jimenez Review score: 7

“The room(s) were spacious and comfortable. The view was stellar. The people at the check in desk were very kind and helpful. Parking was close and easy to get to. We saw lots of macaws and other birds and wildlife. We felt safe.”

  • Ventanas en Corcovado Review score: 10

“Carlos and his family were lovely, we had a wonderfull stay in the middle of the rain forest. You have breakfast next to Toucans, Aracaris etc. And Carlos explained all flora + fauna around 👍👍👍 Great breakfast and dinner. The rooms are very clean, there is basic equipment but everything you need. Beds are very comfortable. We would definitely stay there again. All the best for Carlos and his lovely family.”

  • Amazonita Ecolodge Review score: 10

“The location and hospitality of the personnel. The house is open (no windows, nothing) but sleeping there was great, hearing the sounds from the forest (from inside the mosquito net). We did a few tours with Kerley and that was great. He is calm, very knowledgeable and great with kids. We also went horse riding in the direct environment, through the village, along (and through) the river and into the jungle. An amazing experience. The family that takes care of Amazonita is sweet and warm, they made us feel very welcome. We were sad to leave.”
