“This is one of the few four-star resorts in the area of Kenton. It’s a lovely resort, the grounds are amazing. It looks very much Hawaii.
I would definitely stay again, but the resort is certainly aging. We have a room with a lovely Jacuzzi in the garden which was very nice. The service was very good the use of robots to drop towels and food in the bedroom is funny.
The location is very next to the beach and is excellent and there’s lots of water sports activities that you can do. It’s great for families particularly those with kids under 10 as there’s so many supervised activities The pool is wonderful although the seats around the pools don’t have any cushions and so you simply have to put towels on top of wood and it’s rather uncomfortable. Also there’s not very many sunshades that you can move around what was very funny is around 12 to 130 every day the pool closes down for what they call maintenance! All the staff disappear and everybody gets out of the poolwe found this quite amusing.
Theirs is we found this quite amusing.
There’s a Starbucks next door. We took a taxi from the end of the main line station which took about two hours and wasn’t very expensive. I would say 18 €90 on the way back. We took the courtesy bus that’s organised by the hotel which was Direct and took about 2 1/2 hours as on Sunday there’s much more traffic than during the week
I did quite a bit of work at the hotel and found it a very good place to relax but also to progress with work in a nice constructive environment and there are office facilities there if you need to meet with people and do remote working so overall very good Location Things that they could improve to have some better pillows on the bedding some perhaps bigger rooms as well and more modern facilities in the future, but otherwise a wonderful .”
“The hotel is huge as anyone said before. The swimming pool is one of the best and big I’ve had experienced in a hotel. The rooms are very big and the bed also which is very nice. The market and restaurants in the city are not so far if you’re ok with walking like 10/15’
We really had a nice stay in this place and the children loved it (we have teenagers and they loved it)
The laundry is a plus”
“The Bnb is really great. I slept very well the whole week I stayed there. Very comfortable and well-equipped. The rooftop is amazing, with a great atmosphere. The owners are excellent cooks: breakfast was delicious every day, and the meals offered à la carte were just as good.”
“Staying at Hotel Amanda felt like stepping into a scene from One Thousand and One Nights. From the moment we arrived, we were swept away into a world of elegance, charm, and quiet luxury.
The architecture and decor whispered stories of distant lands and ancient beauty, with every corner more enchanting than the last. Our room — or should I say palace suite — was larger than the average home in Amsterdam, with soaring ceilings, rich fabrics, and soft lighting that made the entire space feel like a private fairytale.
The pool was a sparkling oasis, especially in the golden glow of the afternoon sun. We spent hours there, floating under the sky and forgetting the outside world. The breakfast each morning was a royal feast, with fresh fruits, pastries, and local delicacies presented with care and warmth.
But what truly sets Hotel Amanda apart is the service. Every staff member treated us not as guests, but as honored friends. Thoughtful, attentive, and genuinely kind — it’s rare to feel so seen and so welcome.
If you’re dreaming of a magical escape where reality gently fades away, look no further. Hotel Amanda is not just a place to stay — it’s a story you’ll want to live in.”
“The girls at reception were lovely and friendly, the room and garage were pleasingly spacious, it was very quiet, the bed was very comfortable, the jacuzzi was perfect, and I appreciated the effort made to provide a good breakfast and deliver it at a convenient time (even though I only ate part of it because I'm extremely picky). The only thing missing from the stay was a female companion to share it with ;>)”
