  • Vila Gale Collection Tomar Review score: 10

“A very modern hotel positioned beside the river, in the centre of Tomar, close to the main town a many restaurants. The staff were excellent and accompanied us to the room, pointing out all the facilities on the way. The hotel consists of 2 buildings joined by a covered walkway across a road, very cleverly modernised. Excellent breakfast. Will probably go back again.”

    “Very pleasant staff”

  • Praia do Sal Resort Review score: 10

“The 2-bedroom apartment was very spacious, more than I expected. It had an extensive balcony overlooking the river, which was a great view. Being an apartment I thought we needed to clean after ourselves but was pleasantly surprised to find everything cleaned including dishes. Loved the swimming pool; though cold, kids enjoyed it. We were only there for 3 nights so didn’t have to experience all the amenities , but it’s a place I can recommend and go back to .”

“Great location, very close to the river and great restaurants. I also appreciated the cleanliness and the tasteful decor. Excellent shower (probably the best shower I ever used in my life). Simple nice breakfast.”

  • Residencial Avenida Hostel Review score: 9

“The location of the hotel is perfect. It is about 5 minutes walk from the railway station, although l know that parking space can be arranged. A short walk takes you into the historic town of Tomar and, up a steep incline, to the amazing Castle grounds and Convent de Christo. The hotel owner is a fountain of knowledge regarding the history of Tomar. The room was compact and cosy, no frills but everything required was to hand. The room was spotlessly clean.”
