“I couldn’t have wished for a better introduction and immersion in Cape Verde. From the warm welcome into their charming and colorful home, to the thoughtful attentions like introducing me to Camoca at breakfast and arranging a late-night airport transfer, every detail was perfect. I truly enjoyed our fascinating conversations about local traditions, the long chats with Barbora and Carla, their excellent recommendations, and the genuine kindness they showed. Also DEKUYI Barbora for all good vibes & calabaceira e tuuudo ! An unforgettable stay, highly recommended!”
“Staff (including the owner) is very helpful, organizing trips and airport shuttles. Free coffee on the ground level is a big plus. Room clean and quiet. You can leave part of your luggage and go to another island (Fogo, Maio...) for a couple of days.”
“Irene is a really pleasant host of the B&B, who gave a lot of useful advice on nearby restaurants and bars. The Casa is very well maintained by the staff, who are super friendly. The rooftop terrace is a nice place to sit outside (covered for extensive sun or in our case heavy rainfall). We stayed in the 'Delfts blue' room which was decorated super cute.
The breakfast was tasty and we felt so welcomed when we received the on-house mini bar drinks/snacks for free! Casa Alegria knows how to make clients happy by small gestures!
Casa Alegria is also closely located near the Santiago diving center which was super convenient for us, and on a decent walking distance from the Museum of Resistance (so no need to take the 'van communal' for this, if you like to walk).”
“Great breakfast and delicious dinner (for a very fair extra). The accommodation is located near the Serra Malagueta Natural Park, in a quiet village. There's space for parking your vehicle and the staff is super nice, helpful and attentive. The room was clean and cozy. The terrace has a lovely view over the mountain and on clear days you can see the islands of Maio and Fogo.”
“Very spacious and well-furnished room with a large bathroom. Thoughtfully decorated, including the common areas. We really appreciated the true king-size bed.”
