“I love this property. The interior is superior. I met the hosts as well and they were super kind. They saw that I'm studying so they brought me ice cream 😭 🩷 I would come back here for sure.”
“We enjoyed the location right next to the beach and the Shirahama shrine. We also loved the two onsen baths for which you can get the key at the reception. We also did a small hike from the Tusmekizaki Lighthouse to Suzaki, along the Suzaki walking trail which offered great views of the coast.”
“This guesthouse is a hidden gem in a remote location, peaceful and surrounded by nature. The detached ocean view camping style room was a highlight, letting me fall asleep to the sound of waves and wake up to a stunning sea view. Right in front of the guesthouse there is a small island, and you can even swim directly in the ocean which was such a rare and unforgettable experience.
The guesthouse itself is simple and cozy, and the nearby hotel provides access to excellent facilities including an onsen and BBQ. Being able to relax in the hot spring after a swim and enjoy a BBQ dinner made the stay complete.
The remote setting, the unique ocean view room, the chance to swim in front of the island, and the nearby hotel’s facilities all come together to make this a true 10 out of 10 experience. I would happily return.”
“The building itself is very well maintained; despite its long history, it is remarkably clean, solid, and pleasantly comfortable.
Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, full of Japanese flavor, and served in just the right portions. The staff were warm and welcoming, with excellent communication skills in both English and Japanese, and they were always eager to assist.
The traditional Japanese bedding was warm and comfortable, spotlessly clean with no odors, allowing for a truly restful night’s sleep.”
“This was one of the best stops during our travels in Japan. We got picked up at the Fujinomiya train station by our hosts. We enjoyed riding the e-Bikes that we could rent from our host, as this allowed us to visit the local restaurants (we had a wonderful time with the locals at the お好み焼 和 Okonomiyaki restaurant) and the Kunugi Fish Farm, where we could fish with the family. Our host Hana was fantastic, she even arranged a drop-off at Fujinomiya train station outside of the regular drop-off trip, which is 10:30 am, so we could spend the morning in this fantastic rural area.”
