“*New opening*
We were one of the first guests in this amazing, cozy accommodation. The staff was super nice and could answer every question and solved every little issue professional.
There are 7 cabins on the property, Breakfast is served in front of the cabin.
The location is quiet and close to the beach and restaurants.
Everything is brand new, clean and works fine.
We extended our stay.
If you want to stay somewhere in Trincomalee - stay here.
Real 10/10.”
“We had a wonderful stay at these little cabanas. They are very clean, comfortable and well-maintained, surrounded by beautiful garden. The location is incredible, with a private beach just 40m away - perfect for a relaxing holiday. The staff were extremely friendly and always ready to help, which made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was also delicious! We truly recommend this place and would have loved to stay longer if we had more days.”
“Rangan is such a great host. Very friendly and his snorkelling trip to Pigeon Island was fantastic. Met 3x other lovely solo female travellers in my bunk room”
“Staying here was such a lovely experience! The hosts are genuinely warm and helpful, always making sure you feel at home. The cabanas are simple yet comfortable – perfect if you’re looking for peace and quiet, with the added charm of village life all around. You might hear the early morning prayers from the nearby mosques, which adds a touch of local atmosphere.
Breakfast ($2) and dinner ($3) are delicious and homemade, and they also offer laundry service ($3/kg) – very convenient! The rooms are bug-free with sealed windows, and at night you can watch bats swooping gracefully above the cabanas.
The beach is just a 15-minute walk or a quick $1 tuk-tuk ride away. Nilaveli itself is a small, authentic village with plenty of local eateries, while Trincomalee (25 minutes away, about $10 by tuk-tuk) is the place to go for shopping. You can easily book rides with PickMe or simply ask the hosts to arrange a driver.
It’s a wonderful spot if you’re looking to slow down, enjoy the simple life, and experience the real Sri Lanka. 🌸”
“We spent three nights at JEY’s Place and the experience was unforgettable. The property is surrounded by a beautiful garden, just a few steps from the sea and the most beautiful beach in Trincomalee, with comfortable rooms equipped with everything you need. The real added value, however, is the people: Jey, the owner, welcomes guests with warmth and passion, sharing his story and love for his land. Justin, with his culinary expertise, introduced us to impeccable traditional dishes, always using fresh ingredients, and together with Jey, he was always committed to meeting every need, even organizing trips and activities with the locals. We felt at home, welcomed more as friends than as guests. Thanks Jey and all the staff 🙏🏻”
