“We spent three unforgettable days at Ecolodge Båthuset. This place is much more than a hotel: it’s an ecolodge with a soul. Nestled in a quiet cove with a white sandy beach at its feet, it invites you to plunge into the Arctic waters or set off by kayak from the center next door to explore the islands. The lodge is beautifully designed, simple yet refined, with warm wood everywhere. A large sea-facing terrace is the perfect spot for breakfast. Our room had a breathtaking sea view and bunk beds—compact but cozy—decorated with photos from the owner’s polar expeditions. Shared spaces like the kitchen and living room are generous and welcoming. What makes the experience unique is the spirit of the place. Everything reflects simplicity, sustainability, and a deep love for the Arctic. The owner, a polar explorer who has built a boat on land, welcomes you not just as a guest but as a fellow traveler. Sharing an evening with him and hearing his stories was a highlight of our stay. If you are looking for more than just a bed for the night—if you want an authentic, soulful experience—Ecolodge Båthuset is unforgettable.”

“Friendly staff, nice location close to the old port. We met the owner and he had so many great stories from cruises. It's a stay with a unique atmosphere where you feel welcomed. To have a warm breakfast before our the flight back home was great as well.”
